Argentat is a small town and commune of the Corrèze département, in the Limousin région of France. Situated on the Dordogne River to the south west of Bort-les-Orgues it is the point where the Maronne, a tributary of the Dordogne, converges with the famous river.
Argentat offically lies within the Limousin region and is bordered by threes regions, Auvergne, Quercy and Limousin. One of Argentent’s most impressive sights is the Dordogne River which flows beneath a Viaduct, Le Pont de la République, linking the north and south sections of the town.
