Acorn is a one bedroomed self catering, stone holiday cottage located in the farm steading of Scotchcoulthard near Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland.
It is one of 5 cottages with acres of land, and in door swimming pool, real fires and dogs welcome.
Scotchcoulthard lies four miles north of Hadrians Wall at its highest point half way between Carlisle and Newcastle. We are located in the beautiful and unspoilt Northumbrian National Park and have 180 acres of upland farm which our guests are free to roam.
Scotchcoulthard is run as a holiday cottage business with five cottages sleeping from 1 to 7 and is also a small farm. We have Rare Breed animals including pigs, hens and sheep. We welcome children and pets and there is plenty of space for the children to play. There is a games room with table tennis and toys. We have an indoor pool for wet days. All our cottages are fully equipped.
Downstairs the kitchen runs from front to back complete with breakfast area overlooking extensive views to the west. The living area has two sofas situated around a mulitfuel stove to compliment the central heating.
Upstairs there is a large bedroom with a super king size bed and a bathroom with a bath and shower over. The bed can be split into two.
Outside there is a stone patio overlooking a large lawned area and is equipped with chairs and table for the long summer evenings.
Acorn is equipped with a dishwasher, t.v, d.v.d. and terrestial digital box.

1 Double Bedroom. The Super King Size bed can be split into two nad there is room for a truckle bed.

1 Bathroom. There is a shower over the bath.

Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Iron. There is access to a washing machine in the laundry room.

Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided.

Seating for 3.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Radio, Board Games, Table Tennis. Ideal for ramblers, cylclists, bird watchers and those who want to get away from it all.
Outside:
Communal Pool, Terrace, Garden, Parking, Garden Furniture. The pool is indoor and heated throughout the year. It may be closed at times during the winter for maintenance. Please ring to check.

Local activities in and around Haltwhistle, North
Hadrian's Wall is only 4 miles away with the Roman museums about 6 miles. The lake district is one hour away as is the glorious Northumbrian Coast. Gretna Green in Scotland is 30 miles away and Newcastle City centre with its attractions including The Sage, and Millenium Bridge on the quay side is under an hour.

Rental Notes: We welcome short breaks and can cope with parties of up to 20. One of the cottages (High Tipalt) can seat up to 12, and we have a games room that is available for larger parties and can be used for dancing etc.
We normally run Saturday to Saturday but are flexible. During July and August we are running a Friday to Friday week. Arrival and departures times are 4.00pm and 10.00am but again we can be flexible. All linen, towels, heating & lighting, coal, logs and use of the swimming pool are included in the price.
This unit is situated in or next to other properties
should you wish to holiday with a larger group.
