High Tipalt is a stone built self catering holiday cottage located in the farm steading of Scotchcoulthard near Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland.
One of five cottages with acres of land, an indoor swimming pool, real fire and dogs welcome.
Scotchcoulthard lies four miles north of Hadrian's Wall at its highest point half way between Carlisle and Newcastle. We are located in the beautiful and unspoilt Northumbrian National Park and have 180 acres of upland farm which our guests are free to roam.
Scotchcoulthard is run as a holiday cottage business with five cottages sleeping from 1 to 7 and is also a small farm. We have Rare Breed animals incuding pigs and sheep.
The simple exterior belies the space inside. Through a heavy pitch pine door into the stone flagged entrance hall containing the washing machine and boiler, leading to the three bedrooms and the kitchen and living dining area. The master bedroom is on the ground floor with an ensuite bathroom. This bedroom has a king size bed. The entrance hall leads to a short passage that has two twin bedrooms off, both ensuite, one has a gallery with an extra bed. One of the twins converts to a double if required. All the rooms can take an extra bed, either a truckle or Z bed depending on the size of the occupant.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range cooker, microwave and dishwasher and all the kitchen utensils you will require. The dining table seats 12. The living area is fully equipped with a t.v., d.v.d. and digital box.
French doors lead onto a patio with views over the High Tipalt stream and a large lawned area suitable for bar-b-ques and games.
We welcome pets and children with plenty of space for the children to play. We have an indoor heated pool and games room with table tennis and lots of toys. The cottage is fully equipped.

Facilities for this holiday cottage in Haltwhistle, North
1 Double Bedroom, 2 Twin Bedrooms. All the bedrooms are en-suite. One twin can be made into a super king size on request. The extra single bed is in one of the twin rooms.
Bathrooms:
3 Bathrooms. The master bath is a large double ended bath. The other two bathrooms have baths.
Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided.
Dining:
Seating for 10. The table is big enough to take 12.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games, Table Tennis. There is a digital box.
Ideal for ramblers, cyclists, bird watchers and those who want to get away from it all.
Outside:
Communal Pool, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The pool is heated throughout the year but may closed at times during the winter for maintenance. Please check if needed.

Children Welcome, Pets Allowed.
There are stairs in this cottage but only for the bathrooms in the twin bedrooms. Otherwise it is all on one floor.
Local activities in and around Haltwhistle, North
Walking on Hadrian's Wall. The Lake District is one hour away as is the glorious Northumbrian Coast. Gretna Green in Scotland is under 30 miles away and Newcastle City Centre with attractions including The Sage and Millenium Bridge on the quay side is under an hour.

Rental Notes: We welcome short breaks and can cope with parties up to 20.
We normally run Saturday to Saturday but are flexible.
Arrival and departure times are 4.00pm and 10.00am but again we can be flexible.
All linen, towels, heating & lighting, coal, logs and use of the swimming pool are included in the price.
This unit is situated in or next to other properties
