Sitting on the sea shore, overlooking Loch Na Keal and over to Ben More (the only Munro on Mull), the house has stunning views and being sited on the shore side of the quiet road means children can wander down to the shore from the house.
The house has been a family home for many years and has the atmosphere of comfort and charm associated with many years of being loved and cared for. The views are wonderful and otters are frequently seen in the burn beside the house or in the sea to the front. Watching them from the windows of the sun room allows you to view them at close quarters without.
Entering through a beautiful arched wooden door you arrive in a flagged entrance hall with small church style windows and beamed ceiling. Below is the main living area and above are bedrooms - all enjoying the most panoramic views of the sea and Ben More. The dining table has been fashioned from the original millstone and seats 7 people comfortably. Being positioned in the bay of the sun room, with its spectacular sea views, meals are set to become lengthy affairs!
The west coast of Mull is especially attractive and is well worth exploration from the Ross of Mull in the south with its spectacularly pink granite rocks to the sparkling white sands of Calgary Beach in the north.
The Isle of Ulva can be visited for a day where an exhilarating walk around this car free island can be finished off at the Boat House Cafe where you can enjoy a plate of local oysters and a glass of Guinness!
