Situated just 5 minutes walk from Royal Yacht Squadron it is an ideal base to enjoy Cowes whilst being removed from the immediate hubbub! The most exciting feature is the 100sq.ft balcony upon which you can have dinner and enjoy unparralelled views of the Yachts and ships as they sail in the Western Solent.

Cowes is the yachting capital of the UK, and as such is home to thousands of yachts and other pleasure craft. The Penthouse is the ideal base from which to explore the delights of Cowes as it bustles with the excitement of regattas and festivals. The view from the balcony is unequalled as the building is set 150ft above sea level, yet only 100yds back from the shore. The view stretches 180 degrees from Stokes Bay right around to Lymington! The racing yachts pass close to the shore in front of the Penthouse giving you the best seat in the house!
With three large bedrooms and a spacious sitting room/dining area it comfortably sleeps 6 in privacy and 8 in comfort.The town centre is a 5 minute walk along the esplanade, from where there is a 20 minute high speed ferry service to Southampton, making it very easy to get to.
The three bedrooms consist of one large double and two large twins. The kitchen is small but functional with the usual appliances, including a washing machine. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower and loo. The bathroom has a bath, loo, bidet and basin. With gas central heating, and hot water on demand, life here couldn't be more comfortable!

Local activities in and around Cowes, South
The beach next to the Penthouse is shingle has deep water just 20 yards from the shore, so all the racing yachts come in very close! The Green, is a broad strip of lawn next to the beach, ideal for lounging about on, playing frisbee etc. There is a Icecream parlour immediately next to the beach which sells, in addition, hot cold drinks, snadwiches etc.
Cowes town centre has a wide range of shops from hardware, chandlerys and sailing clothing including Musto, White Stuff etc. Numerous pubs, bars and restaurants, some with harbour views. The Islands capital is Newport, which is connected to Cowes by a regular bus service which leaves from the town centre.
Southampton is a 20 minute high speed ferry ride away, if a larger city appeals!
The marinas are just 10 minutes walk from the Penthouse, so it is ideal as a crew house, particularly for those who don't want the evening hubbub of Cowes town centre. Sit on the balcony with a glass of Pimms and watch the yachts as they sail past your front door!
