The attractions of Venice are legendary, and discovering these for yourself by going everywhere on foot or by boat, with fresh delights around every corner, is an essential part of the Venice experience.
Going down the Grand Canal in a water bus and visiting St Mark's Square, with its extraordinary Basilica, are just two of the most famous sights. The Rialto Bridge with its shops, markets, and views of the Grand Canal is another unmissable experience.
Getting off the beaten track can be even more special, with beautiful churches, peaceful back canals and little squares with cafes and restaurants to sit out at and watch the world go by.
