It's in a superb position on the quiet harbour waterfront in Portreath on the spectacular North Cornish Coast. Theres lots see and do in the area and plenty of places for eating out with a good range of shops(including supermaket and bakery) for self-catering in the village. You can enjoy the lovely sandy beach which lies just over the harbour wall and make Portreath your base for day trips out and about exploring Cornwall. From Portreath you can walk the coastal footpath which runs for miles on either side of the village , enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery and stroll along cool leafy woodland footpaths in nearby Illogan woods and Tehidy Country Park .
Porch - leading off the lounge with a window looking out over the harbour and an entrance out into the waterfront terrace. Lounge - a large bow-window gives a lovely view out over the terrace and harbour (see photos above) and has a staircase to the first floor.It is spacious, light, airy and furnished with comfy sofa, chairs etc. Kitchen/dining room- opening into a sunny rear garden filled with beach pebbles planted with sea pinks, valerian, grasses shrubs and containers of flowers. Picnic bench, sunshade, BBQ, rotary clothers line. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, washer/dryer and fridge. Bedrooms - 2 double rooms. Bathroom with bath and shower. Separate WC and large airing cupboard.
Outside - a paved waterfront patio / terrace at the front of the cottage with a lovely open view out over the harbour. 2 reclining sunloungers and patio furniture for use of guests. Containers of geraniums and other plants in season. Perfect to enjoy a quiet breakfast and relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day. The rear garden is south west facing. Local activities in and around Redruth, South West
Local Walks; Several circular walks start in and around the village Stroll along a beautiful leafy woodland footpath to nearby Tehidy Golf Course, and Country Park which has its abundant wildlife and nature trails and a lake with swans. Cycling; Walkers and cyclists can follow an interesting route along the old Mineral Tramway from Portreath to beautiful Penpol Creek on the South coast. (Approx 11 miles - bikes can be hired nearby). Beaches; This area has some of the most beautiful beaches and coastal scenery in Cornwall - we are truly spoilt for choice. Local beaches include : Godrevy, Hayle Towans, Carbis Bay and St Ives just a few miles to the South and Porthtowan, Chapel Porth St Agnes, Perranporth and Newquay to the North.
Coastal Footpath / North Cliffs AONB; The Coastal footpath runs through the village with miles of spectacular coastline in either direction. A few hundred metres along the footpath from Portreath towards Godrevy and St Ives takes you along a stretch of the coast know locally as 'The North Cliffs ' - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with breathaking seaviews and majestic cliffs.
Wildlife; A large colony of Grey Seals live and breed along the North Cliffs Coast They come ashore to have their pups on several of the remote coves near Portreath and at Godrevy in the Autumn . They can often be seen swimming a few metres off the beach at Portreath and sometimes venture into the harbour. Pods of Dolphins have been seen swimming along the coast often quite close to the shore. Surfing / Bodyboarding; Learn to surf and have fun body-boarding - surfing lessons, board and wetsuit hire in Portreath with another surf school just along the coast at Godrevy.

Harbourside Cottage is personally managed and maintained to a high standard by owners .
