Seaview - Comfortable beach house on the Norfolk coast
Cottage with 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 5, Garden
Our two-bedroomed holiday house is near the village of Bacton, on the North Norfolk coast. The house looks out towards the North Sea across a large cliff-top green, with direct access to a long sandy beach. It is part of a quiet estate of beach bungalows built in the 1930s, with A-line roofs and white weatherboard exteriors.

The garden and green looking to the sea
The beach from the edge of the green, facing south
This is a perfect place in which to unwind! The beach is very inviting, for walking, swimming or sunbathing. It is never crowded even at the height of summer as there is no public road or car park beside it, and though there is a gas terminal further up the coast, this is unimposing, quiet and clean. The seawater is tested regularly and is of high, Blue Flag quality. There is good sea fishing, and some people swim all the year round, occasionally in the company of a visiting seal or porpoise!
Bacton is about half an hour’s drive north-east of Norwich, and it lies on the coast, approximately half way between Cromer to the north, and Great Yarmouth to the south. The village is surrounded by farmland and plenty of interesting places to visit. The nearest market town (and train station) is North Walsham.
The house itself consists of two bedrooms (one double, one with bunk beds plus optional single), sitting room (with sofas, wood-burning stove and TV/video), sunroom (with dining table and sofa), kitchen (with electric oven, microwave and washing machine), and bathroom (with electric shower, bath and WC). The sunroom opens, through French windows, onto a small paved garden, which in turn opens onto a large, communal green field with steps down to the beach. There are books, board games and radios, garden chairs and barbecue, and gas central heating when required.
