Situated 5 miles form the picturesque medieval town of Figeac, Pech Long has 2 recently converted barns in the Lot Valley of France. With beautiful 360 degree views, Pech Long is the ideal location for a truly relaxing holiday. Situated five miles from the picturesque medieval town of Figeac, Pech Long offers peace and solitude, but with attractions for all the family close by.
The two barns will sleep up to 9 people and 2 babies. The main barn sleeps a total of 5 people and a baby. The upper floor is open plan, with a kitchen, dining area (seating 8) and lounge with wood burning stove and leather sofas. Downstairs, the main barn has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and utility room. There is a large garden, with a Private Swimming Pool and 8 seater Hot Tub. The Sechoir, is a converted chestnut drying barn which sleeps up to 4 adults and a baby. Downstairs, there is a king size bed, and en suite shower, sink and loo. Upstairs, has 2 single beds and space for a cot.
The accommodation consists of 2 buildings. The main barn bedrooms consist of a double room and a room with bunkbeds and a single bed. There is also space for a travel cot (provided on request). Facilities include TV and DVD player with DVDs, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, highchair, baby bath and changing mat. There is also a selection of books and games (indoor and outdoor). The main doors open out onto a large patio area, ideal for dining or relaxation.
The Sechoir has 2 main rooms. Downstairs there is a king size bed, and en suite shower, sink and loo. Upstairs, which used to house the drying racks, has 2 single beds and space for a cot. Please note the upstairs area is not full head height for adults.
Pech Long sits in 0.6 of an acre of grounds, surrounded by open countryside. The main barn and the sechoir frame a large courtyard area at the bottom of a bank leading to the main garden. The main garden has a 100m² patio area with wooden table and chairs. There is a new private swimming pool open Apr-Oct, and a new 8 seater Hot tub open all year. The entire grounds are fenced and child friendly, with swings, climbing frame, monkey bars, cargo net, slide, stepping stones and a rope ladder.
There is also a large pergola to provide shade when desired. To help make the most of the French sun there is a range of garden furniture, including sun loungers and a barbecue. Pech Long sits on top of a hill, with a number of walks around the quiet local roads and area, and stunning views all around. Pech Long is a beatiful, private and secluded place to be.
In the nearby town of Figeac there is a large outdoor pool, complete with slides, located within a leisure park on the banks of the River Cele. Other attractions within the park include tennis, canoeing, pedalo boats, crazy golf, trampolines, and two children’s play parks.

Local activities in and around Figeac, Midi-Pyrenees
The local town of Figeac is largely pedestrianised along its narrow cobbled medieval streets. There is a range of restaurants and shops, a traditional French Farmers Market twice a week, museums, stunning churches, and a gigantic Rosetta Stone, in honour of the Egyptoligist Jean-Francois Champollion, the translator of the stone, who was born in Figeac.
Within approximately an hour’s drive are the towns of Cahors, Rocamadour, Villefranche and Rodez. Rocamadour in particular is an ideal day trip, with the town built into the cliffs and a stunning chapel, crypt, Bishop’s Palace and Basilica featuring a statue of the Black Madonna. Medieval caves and cave paintings abound, plus more modern attractions such as a monkey park, mazes, and birds of prey centre. A number of organisations offer canoe and rafting trips along the large rivers in the local valleys.
