Whitelee is situated ¾ of a mile from Newton St. Boswells (pubs, shops, bank etc.). The beautiful abbey town of Melrose is only 4 miles away and the cottage provides easy access to all borders towns: - Melrose - 4 miles Galashields - 8 miles Selkirk - 10 miles Jedburgh - 10 miles Kelso - 12 miles Peebles - 28 miles Edinburgh - 40 miles
The cottage is on “St. Cuthbert’s Way” and there are numerous local walks (to Melrose, Dryburgh Abbey, the Tweed, etc.) as well as the close proximity of the Southern Upland Way. The Scottish Borders is renowned for it’s “freedom of the fairways” golf pass (best value golf is Scotland). Also, ideal for fishing (Tweed etc.), cycling (including mountain biking at Glentress and Yarrow) and horse riding.
