This cottage, with its own private pool, and 24 hr Wifi internet access, is set in the middle of the Aracena Nature Reserve on the 150 Acre Buenvino Estate. Once part stabling and part inhabitation, it is probably several hundred years old -- built of stone and adobe, and whitewashed in the typical andalucian manner.
There are two bedrooms. The twin room has a bathroom with tub and walk-in shower, a handbasin, and a WC. The double room on the ground floor has a walk-in shower with a folding seat -- specially designed flat for wheelchair access. Other disabled/handicapped features include an adjustable handbasin and mirror, and a WC with hot water and a mixer for washing.

Living Room
All the bedroom furniture is handmade and hand-painted in Sevilla. This bedroom has a ramp access to the living room and kitchen, and also opens directly out onto the pergola-shaded terrace overlooking the orchards.
The large eat-in kitchen has a marble work-top, electric oven, a gas hob, dishwasher, and a clothes washer. There is an extendable kitchen table which seats eight in case you feel like asking the neighbours in to eat with you! The sitting room is large and has a wood-fired stove. Logs are provided.
Outside the house there is an orchard meadow with old apple trees and fig trees. We sometimes have the sheep nearby, and you will hear the tinkle of the sheep bells as they graze. It is a great place for birdwatching and for looking at wildflowers.
The small swimming pool (3 metres by 5 metres) is perfect for cooling off on those hot lazy summer days. An old mule trail runs from behind the house and occasionaly someone may walk or ride past. You might enjoy a walk to Los Marines or Fuenteheridos, two charmingly typical white-washed pueblos -- each about a 20-minute walk away. Los Marines is quieter while Fuenteheridos bustles with life. There are three or four restaurants to choose from there. Most of them serve the local specialties of Jamón and cerdo Iberico.
Aracena, the local market town, is only a 6 km-drive away. Here, there are great shops and restaurants and you will find the famous Caves of the Marvels (Grutas de las Maravillas). The people are very friendly, and they welcome outsiders. In all of our houses we provide a list of recommended local eating places and shops, as well as information on fiestas and ferias.

Real Fire, Maid Service, House Linen, Towels Provided. There is a mobile signal. Heating is by pellet-burning eco stove and electric radiators. The maid comes on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Dining:
Seating for 6. Large eat-in kitchen and a long table for the shady terrace. You are welcome to book in for dinner at the main house (except July and August).
Entertainment:
CD System, Board Games. Most people who stay at Buenvino come for the walking and for nature. There are plenty of books in the house. DVDs can be rented in Aracena, so do bring a laptop if you wish.
Outside:
Private Pool, Terrace, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. Set among orchards overlooking a wood. A stream can sometimes be heard gurgling. Nightingales sing in late April and May. The raised terrace is shaded by a pergola.

Local activities in and around Aracena , Costa de La Luz - Huelva
Riding, birdwatching, painting. Aracena has many bars, restaurants and a few discos which don't start functioning until after 12pm. There is a theatre where concerts are often held. Most weekends there is a fiesta or a Romeria in one of the neighbouring villages.
There are beautiful simple villages to explore, and ancient monuments such as the Almonaster mosque which is over 1000yrs old. Aracena has the templar's castle which is built on the hill above the famous caves. Delicious Serrano ham is the speciality of the area, in particular from the nearby village of Jabugo.
From Seville A66 (Merida) for 35 Kms, then N433 (Aracena & Portugal) Entrance at Km 95 north side of road. Down ramp, through gates and follow lower track 1.4Kms without crossing stream. House on left

Rental Notes: Seville is now served by Ryanair and Air Berling from Stansted airport. Aerlingus flies directly from Dublin . Alternatively you may fly to Faro (2 Hrs 30 mins) Malaga (3 Hrs 30 mins) or Jerez (just over 2 Hrs.) Ryanair flies to the latter most days of the week.
Most weekly bookings start at 16.00Hrs on Friday and terminate at 10.00Hrs on the following Friday but we are taking some saturday bookings this year.
Odd days and longer lets are possible between 15th October and 15th March, and of course there are special terms for long lets of one month or more.
