This sandstone steading has been recently converted to a very high standard. The accommodation is all on one level. It has a shared tennis court on site and Pitmiddle enjoys an elevated position with commanding views of the surrounding rolling counrtyside. Located in rural Perthshire but within 20 minutes of Perth or Dundee city centres.
The steading building is in an L shape and the short part of the "L" houses this 2 bedroom property. (The longer part of the "L" houses a 3 bedroom property). This 2 bedroom property has a large west facing patio and private parking beside the house. The surrounding garden area (with croquet in the summer) is shared. The property is on a very small farm.
The accommodation is on 1 level only. At one end of the building with views south to the River Tay you will find the master bedroom with its en suite shower room with shower and toilet. The beds can be a superking (6 foot wide) or the beds can be seperated to form 2 singles.
Next door is the second bedroom which is smaller but the beds are the same. There are 2 zip and link singles that can be put together to form a superking bed. The view here is of the rolling countryside to the east.
Next door to the second bedroom you wil find the main bathroom which has a large seperate shower, bath and toilet.
Then you move into the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area. The sitting area has patio doors opening onto the west facing patio and hillside. There is an open fire place and leather seating. The kitchen area has all the mod cons and a counter separates it from the sitting area. The dining area is just to the side of the kitchen.
The accommodation in this house is flexible, it can be a 2 bedroom house in its own right or with the aid of the inter connecting door in the sitting room it can become a 5 bedroom house with another kitchen/dining/sitting room, a very large east facing patio and another 2 bathrooms.
On site there is also a 1 bedroom cosy cottage for rent with its own large patio and then there is our own farmhouse and various farm buildings. Acess from the main road is up a farm road/track.

Local activities in and around Dundee, Central Scotland
On site you may walk through the fields and woods or play tennis on our court which we believe has one of the best views of any tennis court.
5 minutes away (by car) in our local village of Abernyte there is The Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre providing a fantastic selection of antiques, paintings, jewellery, gifts, furniture and fine Scottish foods etc. There is also Cafe Circa located in the Centre providing delicious home baking and lunches. Enjoy a stroll down to the Centre and earn your glass/bottle of wine!
Locally there is a golf driving range and in the area there are many golf courses and lots of public walks.
There is also the celebrated Glendoick Garden Centre nearby, it also boasts a restaurant and food hall.
The nearest castles/palaces to visit would be Glamis Castle and Scone Palace - there are plenty of outside play areas and extensive grounds for the children to run around in.
There are shopping opportunities in Perth and Dundee. St. Andrews is well worth a visit, it is only 40 minutes away - a must for the avid golfer and lots of shops and bars/cafes for those not of that persuasion. On the golf theme we are only about 40 minutes from the famous Carnoustie golf links.
Drive over the hill and you are in the vale of Strathmore close to the Angus glens. In winter we are just over an hour away from the Glenshee ski slopes.

Rental Notes: Change over day is a saturday, properties can be accessed after 4.00 pm and must be vacated by 10.00 am. Bags however can be left earlier in the day if you wish to go out exploring prior to check in.
We are delighted to recommend a local company the Nutmeg Cooking Company for any catering requirements you might have - they can do special occassions or normal evening meals/lunches. Menus can be provided and we would put you in direct touch with the company as arrangements would need to be made well in advance with them.
On a more ad hoc basis we would be happy to recommend other local cooks for meal requirements. It makes it more of a holiday if you don't have to cook!
We also have a mobile beauty therapist who can come to the houses.
Maid service at an additional charge can be organised.
Bed linen, bath towels and dishcloths are all provided in the rental charge as in end of stay cleaning. We would however ask you to leave the houses as tidy as you can.
This unit is situated in or next to other properties
should you wish to holiday with a larger group.
The additional units are:
Outfield (Sleeps 6) - Pretty steading with outstanding countryside views
Pitfield (Sleeps 10) - Pretty steading with outstanding countryside views
