We are pleased to welcome you in an authentic 17th-18th C. coaching inn, state of the art renovation, ideally located in the heart of the most prestigious vineyards of cognac, the Grande Champagne.
Discover a luxury guesthouse. Be surprised by comfort of rooms, calm of the residence only surrounded by woods and vineyards and, at night, beauty of the starry sky. There you will feel relax and comfortable.
To ease your stay we rent the cottage on half board basis, breakfast & dinner managed by us.
From the house, discover vineyards with mountain bikes, take a course of cuisine by a French chef, play golf or make a cognac tasting.
Discover gastronomy, architecture, culture and other treasures of Charente. Be introduced to secrets of "angels' beverage", the cognac. One hour drive you will enjoy other treasures of French way of living such as Saint Emilion with its Bordeaux wines, Perigord with its cuisine, La Rochelle.

Le Coche is a cottage for 6 persons, 130 sqm, with 3 bedrooms (two bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with twin beds), a large dining room.
The cottage has a fully equiped kitchen with a washing drying machine. Other features include a satellite television, a DVD player, a hi-fi, a safe. You will enjoy period fourniture, 160x200cm or 90x200cm beddings, 5* hotel quality. A high speed Internet access is provided free of charge in the cottage (RJ45).
The cottage has an independant access.
Other facilities at your disposal, to be shared with our B&B guests, are : - a secured carpark - a tennis court - a fitness - a sauna - a children playground - an outside table tennis - a BBQ common area - a large heated swimming pool - a micro-computer with games.
We do our best to ease your stay in our cottage. At arrival you will have at your disposal basic condiments and cleaning materials. Linen (bedlinen, all towels, pool towels, tea towels, dusters) is provided and the Standard final cleaning is done by us. All is included in the rental.
On request, a baby kit in full is provided with selected items according to the age of the baby (car seat...) On request we may also prepare a "helping hamper" (butter, milk, bread, eggs, cheese...) for your arrival.
By appointment, you can have a massage made by a professional.
To ease your stay, you will find a guest service book with a selection of regional and local places to visit, usefull addresses and numbers, a free direct phone number provided prior to your arrival. Thus your relatives may reach you directly in the cottage.
With our own travel agency, Touring Holidays in France, we may arrange car rentals and other bookings. We may also propose tailor made tours including Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Périgord and Cognac by private bus with driver or rented car.

If you wish to rest at Le Relais de Saint Preuil, the charming guesthouse where the cottage is located, you may play tennis or table tennis, walk in the vineyards or the woods surrounding the house. Or simply do nothing facing the swimming pool and the vineyards.
At a walking distance, you may discover traditional cognac producers. They will disclose the secrets of production and open the doors of their cellars.
From the cottage, you may walk or ride and bike through the vineyards.
8 miles away from the cottage you may enjoy Cognac golf course, a 18 holes golf course.
Less than an hour and a half drive you may discover Bordeaux, St Emilion, La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes, Cognac and Angouleme. Bordeaux is the regional capital city of Aquitaine known for its fine wines, its central district dating from the 18C. Rochefort where is taking place the rebuildingof the Hermione, the warship of La Fayette to America Saintes a city first built by the romans where to see a roman arch built in the year 19 AD, a roman amphitheatre, 125m x 102m, for 15.000 spectators to admire gladiators.
At the Comptoir du Relais you may find a selection of local products.
From Cognac take D24 to Segonzac then D1 towards Barbezieux. Turn left towards Saint Preuil. On arriving in the village, turn left towards Bouteville. 1 km up this road is Le Relais de Saint Preuil.

Rental rates include Water, electricity and heating consumptions. Household linen, bath linen and swimming pool towels are at disposal free of charge. First set of basic condiments and cleaning materials is supplied free of charge. Final clean is included in our prices.
Regular changeover days are Saturday 4pm to following Saturday 10am. Other changeover days can be arranged and short breaks are available out of season. Please contact us for details.

Pickup from airport is possible or from Angouleme train station which is 2.30 hours by TGV (high speed train) from Paris Montparnasse central station. Please contact us for details.
