A privately owned 2/3 bedroomed villa, with private pool, on pleasant urbanisation on the outskirts of the popular village of La Cala de Mijas, approximately five miles west of Fuengirola. The property is ideal for families as the pool has now been fenced (with lockable gate) for complete peace of mind.
This three bedroomed villa is regularly used by the owners and is comfortably furnished as a home would be with lots of extra touches not normally found in a holiday rental property. The two downstairs bedrooms have french windows opening to the pool area whilst the bedroom on the mezzanine floor has access to the balcony with views over the surrounding area to the sea and mountains. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with walk-in shower.
There is a good size living room with air-conditioning, satellite TV, video DVD player and pleasant dining area for up to six guests. The spacious kitchen has an oven, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave dishwasher and washing machine and is fully equipped with cutlery, glasses and china.
A door from the living room leads out onto the terrace beside the pool where there is a table and chairs, full size BBQ and pool loungers. The villa is surrounded by a pretty, private, garden and rockery.
Near to the villa is a well stocked small supermarket together with a good selection of bars and restaurants. The popular village of La Cala de Mijas, with all its facilities and beautiful 'blue flag' beach only a few minutes walk away.

There are two steps from the living area to the bedrooms and bathrooms and stairs up to the mezzanine 3rd bedroom and balcony but the villa is otherwise very suitable for clients with limited mobility
Local activities in and around Mijas, Costa del Sol - Malaga
There are several bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the villa. A few minutes away is La Cala de Mijas a very popular small town mid way between Fuengirola and Marbella; whilst it has an international flavour the 'village' has retained its Spanish feel. The town is well served by a large number of bars and restaurants serving a variety of food to suit every taste, there are also two well stocked supermarkets, various banks, clothes and souvenir shops.
La Cala hosts an excellent twice weekly market (Wednesdays and Saturdays) on the outskirts of the town, boasting an abundant choice of local goods to take home as gifts and souvenirs.
From La Cala is only a short drive, or bus ride, to the bustling resort of Fuengirola which boasts a new shopping complex, cinema, zoo and clubs and bars for those who want them. From Fuengirola there is a regular train service to Malaga which makes an easy and pleasant day trip for those who do not wish to hire a car.
If you travel west along the coast La Cala is only a short distance from Capo Pino a small and picturesque port surrounded by various restaurants and bars. Capo Pino is situated on the edge of the Bay of Marbella and the town of Marbella itself is easily reached by bus or car from La Cala. Take the opportunity to visit the millionaires' playground of Puerto Banus and admire the variety of yachts anchored in the harbour.
If you hire a car then it is easy to travel further afield to the white 'Pueblo' of Mijas, to Gibraltar or make a day trip to the Alhambra Palace at Granada. The mountain town of Ronda is also worth a visit. If you do not want to hire a car the villa's management company can also arrange day trips to most of these places as well as fishing trips and jeep safaris. La Cala is also the home of the Costa del Sol Racecourse which hosts race meeting throughout the season. It is also possible to arrange horse-riding and golf for those who want a more active holiday.
The property is located at Km 202 on the Careterra just outside La Cala de Mijas.

Rental Notes: The villa is available from 3.00pm on Saturdays until 10.00am the following Saturday. The villa will be cleaned before arrival and on the middle Saturday in a multiple week let. Towels and linen are included but guests should bring their own swimming/beach towels.
Most of the villa is on one level, there are just two steps between the bedroom/bathroom area and the main living area making it very suitable for guests with limited mobility (although there is a flight of stairs leading up to the third bedroom and balcony on the mezzanine floor).
