Heron Lodge is set in a lovely peaceful, rural location on edge of Mabie Forest a tranquil and peaceful location surrounded by beautiful countryside with views of hills and Mabie Forest.
This luxury lodge is privately owned and can accommodate 4 guests in comfort with all modern amenities. Set in the former grounds of Cairnyard House on an uncommercialised site. Located 5 miles from Dumfries town on the A711 (Dumfries and Dalbeattie Road) and 1 mile before Beeswing village.
Take a relaxing weeks break either to take in the surrounding countryside and area or get out and about to explore historical places of interest or take time out to persue your hobbies or interests like fishing, birdwatching, golf, walking, cycling and horse riding.
Heron Lodge accommodating 4 people large and spacious rooms, in first class order and of modern style with guest comfort and enjoyment in mind at all times ensuring a wonderful holiday break for every guest anytime of year.
Bedrooms:- 1 double bedroom (10'X10') with lovely pine double bed, and pine wardrobe and cabinates. 1 twin bedded room(10'X10') with two pine single beds, and pine wardrobe and cabinates. Modern Bathroom (7'X6') with bath and shower over, sink and toilet.
Porch area (6'X5') with cloak area. Open plan Living room (16'X10') with sofa and 2 arm chairs, T.V. and Video, CD/Radio. Dining Kitchen (11'X8') with modern electrical appliances, Oven,Hob, Fridge/Freezer, Washer/Dryer and self contained with all crockery, cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils, and pans. Toaster, Kettle, Microwave etc. Dining table with 4 chairs.
The Living area has large patio doors opening out over lovely countryside views with verandah decking complete with patio furniture and Gas BBQ for al-fresco dining. The Lodge is fully insulated and Double Glazed, with Full Electric Heating throughout, ensuring comfort for early/late season holidays or winter breaks.
Ideal base for couples and families alike for that relaxing weeks holiday lots of local places of interest like Robert Burns trail, Caerlaverock Castle and bird sanctuary,Shambelli Museum of Costume and Camera Obscura a short drive to the coast and lovely forest walks.
Towerwood Golfing Range 2 miles away (floodlit). Dumfries town some 5 miles away. Glasgow and Edinburgh 80 miles away. Carlisle and Lakes 40 miles away.

Rental Notes: Change over day Saturday or Friday by arrangement. Lodge ready for arrival by 3.30pm and vacated by 10am prompt. Change over days can be arranged on other days please enquire direct with owners as well as short break periods.
Booking terms: Deposit £100.00 per week. Balance due 6 weeks before commencement of holiday.
Electric Heating payable by coin meter £1 coins required. Guests need to bring own Towels none provided.
Short Breaks of Three or more nights can be accommodated but only can be booked nearer the dates required. Also a supplement of £50 is payable on top of nightly rate ......please enquire for prices.
