Emsworth is an attractive village situated at the top of Chichester Harbour which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has a long history connected with oyster fishing and boat building. The interesting history of Emsworth is exhibited in the local museum which is open at weekends during the summer. The views from the foreshore to the Downs are a superb backdrop to the activity on the water. In winter the harbour acts as a temporary home for migrating birds, which join the many wading birds feeding on the salt marshes around the foreshore.

The self-contained flat is newly converted and is on the first floor of a detached house in a quiet road fifty yards from the foreshore and a sailing club. The harbour can be seen from most of the windows in the flat.
There is a small hall with stairs that lead to a large sunny sitting room which faces south and west. Double doors open into the dining room with a fitted kitchen at one end and door to a balcony. The bathroom, with bath and shower, is between the two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second has twin beds and a small single. There is a small morning Nursery School for 3/4 year olds on the ground floor in term time - an organised morning and not crying babies!

There are walks to suit everyone; the Solent Way, Wayfarer’s Way, or end Sussex Border Path and Chichester Harbour Walk all pass through Emsworth or start from the village. Guided history walks of the village centre are arranged during the summer months. The centre, which is five minutes walk along the harbour wall, has many varied shops, restaurants and pubs.
Emsworth is situated between Chichester and Portsmouth. Chichester Festival Theatre, Fishbourne Roman Palace and Goodwood's horse and motor racing are 8 miles away.
Porsmouth's Historical Dockyard with H.M.S. Victory and H.M.S.Warrior is 11 miles and the new Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Shopping Quays are a great attraction. Beaches at West Wittering and Hayling Island.
Take A259 off A27 Portsmouth 11 miles - Chichester 8 miles road for Emsworth. Bath Road is just west of roundabout in centre and Westview no 60 Bath Road is 3rd on left.
