Snowdon House is situated in the Llanberis Pass, the most spectacular area of the Snowdonia National Park.
The house offers accommodation for nine people with three doubles, a twin and a single, all with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. It has full central heating and double glazing, a fully fitted kitchen and new bathroom with power shower, as well as an open coal fire for those cosy evenings. There is off road parking and an outside BBQ area and herb garden for those lazy summer evenings.
The house is an ideal base for exploring the National Park and the top ten attractions of North Wales which are all less than an hour away. Climbing, walking, scrambling, canoeing, mountain biking, diving and para gliding are all available within a few miles of the house. The footpath for the Glyders and Devil's Kitchen is just 100m from the door.
We are the closest self catering house to Snowdon and the Sherpa bus passes every twenty minutes in summer.
Snowdon House has been welcoming visitors to the National park for almost 50 years and is central for all the best that North Wales has to offer. The house sits in the Llanberis Pass with the mountains of Snowdonia rising to 3600ft on all sides. Just 10 minutes from the A55 expressway and three miles from the tourist village of Llanberis, with it's many shops and restraunts, the house is easy to find and is close to local shops and services. Within walking distance is the The Vaynol Arms, one of the best pubs in North Wales, with a wide selection of real ales and excellent food as well as log fires that create a special atmosphere.
The house has three doubles and a twin all with stunning mountain views. There are two newly fitted bathrooms one with a power shower. On the ground floor the kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, washing machine etc. The lage living room has a dinning area and TV as well as an open coal fire.
A doorway leads out to the new raised BBQ area where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of The Glyders and Crib Goch as they catch the evening sunset. There is also a lower paved area with garden furniture where you can relax and take it easy.
If you want to leave the car, a bus service passes the house at twenty minute intervals during the summer, going in both directions around Snowdon allowing you to go up and come down on any of the many tracks. From the house you can walk to some of the best climbing in the British Isles and scrambling is available directly opposite the house.
Within ten miles of the house you can visit the Snowdon Mountain railway, the Welsh Slate museum, the Menai Straits, award winning beaches and the castles at Caernarfon and Penrhyn. Within half an hour is the beautiful walled town of Conway, the castle at Beaumauris, and the picturesque villages of Betwy-y-Coed and Bedgellert. You could take a daytrip to Ireland from Holyhead for as little as £12.

Or try fishing for wild brown trout in lakes surrounded by stunning scenery or take the footpath for the Glyders and Devil's Kitchen, just 100m from the door.
We are the closest self catering house to the two main paths that lead up to the summit of Snowdon and the Sherpa bus passes the house every twenty minutes in summer allowing you to leave the car if you wish. The tourist village of Llanberis has craft shops and many good restraunts and from here you can catch the steam train that will take you to the summit on the highest cog railway in the British Isles. The town also houses the facinating slate museum where you can go back in time and appreciate the hard life of the miners in years gone by, or travel to Blaneau Ffestinyog and descend into Deep Navigation mine, voted one of the best attractions in Wales.
The history of Wales is told in it's castles and the area has some of the most famous of them all like Caernarfon, Beaumauris, Harlech and of course Conway, where you can walk round the town walls and enjoy the atmosphere of times gone by.
There is no shortage of venues to keep the kids amused. It could be one of the nearby Blue Flag beaches, the mountain zoo, wildlife parks, nature trails, fun centers, sea fishing trips from Caernarfon or boating on the nearby lake at Llanberis.
Throughout the summer there are festivals and carnivals or you could watch as the farmers gather in the sheep off the mountains and make the shearing look easy. Whatever you want from a holiday, North Wales can deliver, all in the beautiful setting of the National Park.
Snowdon House is very easy to find as it is situated on the A4086, the road through the Llanberis Pass.

Rental Notes: Please note that weeks covering Bank Holidays and Half Terms will cost £735. Two night weekens start from £320 and three night weekends from £375. Weekends will not be available from May to the end of October unless at full weekly rate. Snowdon House is generally rented out from Friday to Friday with the house being available from 4pm onwards. We would ask you to vacate the house before 10am to allow time to prepare for the next guests. Linen is included in the price and there is no additional payments required for electricity. A deposit will be required to secure the booking with the balance paid 2 months before the date of your holiday.
Due to it's location and convenience, many people rent the house for the weekend only and we will always try to accommodate your requirements. Please contact us by e-mail or telephone to confirm prices.
We can offer a reduction for booking of more than a week and for mid week breaks, depending on availability.
