This comfortable, safe and private rural house is located in an idyllic, tranquil nature park with direct access (80m) to a small, intimate, sandy and rocky beach. The mountainous coastline of northern Morocco at a distance of 14 km can be seen from the estate. A romantic footpath of only 700m leads to the old town centre (by car 4km). The famous beaches of the “Costa de la Luz” are just a mile away.

The charming 2-bedroom farmhouse “Casa del Alfarero” with patio and 2 private terraces overlooking the sea – situated in the large historical Cortijo “El Tejar Siete Olivos” – can satisfy your demands.
Surrounded by old trees, Casa Alfarero still exudes the special atmosphere of an ancient pottery. As in all authentic cottages of the region you first enter the patio (courtyard) - the centre of family life - overhung with grapes. From there you reach the kitchen house with an original oven (formerly used for baking bread) and an authentic stone floor of the 18th century. The modern, well equipped kitchen (cooker with 4 rings, large fridge and freezer) is furnished in traditional Andalusian style.
The main house has got 2 entrances. Behind the first you pass a small hall (with a large antique wardrobe), which leads to an attractively modern fitted shower room and to 2 separate cosy bedrooms (twins), one with Moroccan flair. Directly from the patio the second entrance leads to the comfortable living/dining room. The structure of the building and the floor tiles are from the early 19th century. Beamed ceilings, seating for 6-8, cupboards, secretaire; SAT-TV, radio, CD/audio tape player; books.
2 intimate shady terraces overlooking the sea and a small woodland belong also to C. Alfarero. A large but intimate and partly shady area, where you can have fine barbecues. Explore the huge unspoilt terrain. Observe the shipping on the Straits and the small, hilly Moroccan villages in front of you! Experience nature's fascinating, ever changing sceneries between 2 seas and 2 continents! Relax in space and comfort! Directly from the estate, exciting hiking paths lead into the nature park area and along the wild, still virgin coast "at your door step".

Situated in a nature park you have splendid possibilities for hiking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, horse riding. The sea is just "at your foot step", so you may practise swimming, diving, fishing, sailing, wind surfing, kiting and lots of other sports. The bird migrations between Europe and Africa can be well observed from the property. Exciting dolphin and whale watch by boat. Ferries go to Tangier several times a day. Guided tours of 1-3 days lead you to northern Morocco and its Kasbahs and picturesque oriental markets.
Tarifa itself - the Mediterranean in the east, the ocean with its endless sandy beaches in the west, hilly nature parks in the north and facing the whole montainous northern African coastline on the other side of the Straits of Gibraltar at a distance of 15 km - is the Continental Europe's southernmost town and one of the most remarkable places of the world. It owns a rich heritage of history since prehistoric times, but the face of old Tarifa was mostly sharped by the Moorish reign and the "Reconquista".
Nowadays Tarifa - extending to the west - is a very versatile town where you can find everything in modern shops and boutiques, in a traditional market hall as well as in modern supermarkets. Numerous bars and restaurants offer international and excellent local food and good wine on their menus. Enjoy the numerous famous and impressive festivals (e.g. Holy Week and the "Cabalgata") celebrated by the inhabitants.
The town is starting point for many excursions to the cultural and historical sites of western Andalusia, so as the "White Villages" in the mountains, Cadiz and Jerez and Seville and many others more.
