The vibrant city of Granada with its Alhambra is just an hour away. The area is the cradle of flamenco music and there are many festivals and fiestas in the little "white pueblos" in the dramatic scenery of Sierra Nevada mountains, within 1/2hr drive. 20 miles from sandy beaches and golf.

Past the eucalyptus grove, home to myriad singing birds such as nightingales, through an ornate, antique carved wooden gate, enter the colourful, fragrant walled garden full of exotic flowers and fruit trees, entirely un-overlooked; relax on an English-style bouncy lawn, with 4 loungers and a swing seat, in the pool area with a table and chairs shaded under a parasol, or at the coffee table/ by the barbecue.
The mosaic-lined oval pool is 9m x 4m and 1.5m/2.5m deep. It has underwater light, jets and filters.
This is a perfect setting for al fresco dining, for peaceful sunbathing in total privacy or for that fiesta under the Andalucian stars.
The cottage is a perfect setting for a romantic get away or a honeymoon, hidden as it is from the world behind trees and stone walls, with its picturesque master bedroom.
Casa Rosada is also ideally suited either for two groups of friends or for a family or as it consists of two wings with each wing forming a self-contained - but, if need be, interconnected - unit with a separate entrance into the garden, so the children's bedroom is within 3 m of the parents' bedroom.
All the windows have stylish hand-made wrought-iron grilles for complete safety.
Casa Rosada is very popular with young families, as the entire garden is completely enclosed. We have additional baby facilities and baby sitting can be provided.

The nearest beach is at Playa Granada 32km/25 miles away, with a golf course and a restaurant. The beach restaurant here is perfect for that special occasion in a luxurious setting. The nearest seaside town is Salobreña, 35km/27 miles away, with all facilities and a Moorish castle on a towering rock. Drowning in colourful flowers, with palm tree-lined avenues, Salobrena is as spectacular as it is still unspoit by mass tourism.
There are some excellent restaurants on the beach, where you can while the evening away watching the sunset over the bay, as you wait for the fresh local fish hauled in that morning to be grilled in front of you, the delicious smell of wood smoke wafting through the air.
There are plenty of secluded coves to explore, with very private swimming possible.
And don't miss the thriving Thursday market in Orgiva, where the goods sold range from the mundane to the exotic and the throngs of passers-by are a crowd as mixed as they are friendly.
