18th Century stone built traditional farmhouse recently restored (2005) with new salt water pool. Sleeps 6. Lovely location near all amenities. 'La Maison’ provides spacious accommodation for up to 6 people in three bedrooms. Its thick stone walls and timber shutters not only imbue a sense of character but also keep the house cool in the region's hot summers.
Suitable for the elderly, Suitable for young children, the accommodation is on one level.
The accommodation is on one level and comprises of:
A spacious, well furnished and comfortable living room and dining area with beamed ceilings and a large open fireplace. French doors lead to the garden.
Reception Childs High Chair, 6 x Dining Area Seating Capacity, 6 x Living Area Seating Capacity, all new furnishings & local antiques.
Bedrooms :- 2 x Double Room, 1 x Twin Room, 1 x Cot Two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom with beamed ceilings and views across the surrounding countryside.
Bathroom:- 1 x Bathroom, 1 x Separate WC, (newly refitted bathroom with wc, shower cubicle, twin basins and bath, fully tiled)
A well equipped kitchen - the kitchen units were hand made from elms which used to grow in the garden.
Outside, Guests at Mouledou can enjoy the grounds of approximately 4 acres, mostly lawn which provides an ideal surface for football etc. 2 covered terraces, one with built in barbecue and dining area, 2 sun terraces. There is also a large natural pond which is well stocked with fish. For younger guests, there are children’s swings and a slide.

In this peaceful and idyllic rural setting you can relax and enjoy the views over the rolling countryside and the nearby hamlet of Cazideroque with its pretty houses, church and chateau.For the more energetically minded, Mouledou provides an ideal base for exploring Lot et Garonne by car, bicycle or on foot - the well known circuit des bastides’ is literally on the doorstep.
Golf at the 18 hole courses at Castelnaud de Gratcombe and Chateau des Vigiers.
Bergerac airport is about 45 mins.; Toulouse about 1 1/2 hours. Horse riding at the equestrian centre near Pujols. Tennis is available at nearby Tournon d'Agenais and at Villeneuve sur Lot. Canoeing and sailing on the River Lot is offered at several locations including Temple sur Lot, Villeneuve, Trentels and Montayral. Cyclists can enjoy pedalling along the banks of the River Lot.
For families, Parc Walibi water park near Agen provides a great day out as does the Magic Forest at Clairac, the natural caves, the Grottes de Fontirou, and the Chateau Bonaguil near Fumel. Those in search of a more leisurely holiday can enjoy river trips, strolling through the unspoilt countryside and villages and the Bastides, medieval fortified towns for which the area is famous Tournon d'Agenais, Monflanquin, etc are all worth visiting; our favourite is the beautiful Penne d'Agenais .The farmers markets specialise in local produce can be visited every day in various towns.No visit to the region is complete without sampling the local wines - the vineyards of Duras, Buzet and Cahors are within an hours drive.
