Capellania is a huge, luxury, air-conditioned, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa with private 9m x 5m pool, satellite TV, broadband, table tennis.
Totally private and not overlooked, Capellania is secluded in a peaceful country setting on the edge of town, with spectacular mountain views. Just 5 minutes' walk to the very centre of Orgiva, yet hidden behind its large, landscaped, walled-in garden full of exotic fruit trees, Capellania offers complete privacy around the pool area. Capellania is also a home to tortoises and gold fish.
Entirely modern and tastefully furnished, the villa has the ambiance of a Moorish-inspired romantic folly, with its circular library, sweeping marble staircase, stained-glass windows and a domed bathroom with a large oval marble bath that cries out to be shared. A spacious dining room through a colonnaded circular hallway flows into a large living room with comfortable sunken seating area round the wood-burning cast iron stove, as well as the TV viewing area.

Órgiva is a bustling little market town at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, usually snow-capped until the summer, in one of Europe´s most spectacular and peaceful areas, Las Alpujarras - the cradle of flamenco music.
A paradise for nature lovers, walkers, bird watchers, and ideal for the family holiday by the pool, with day trips to the beautiful Alhambra in Granada (1hr away), the beaches within a 1/2hr drive, or visits to the spectacular 'white pueblos' 1/2hr drive up the mountain. Granada airport 1hr, Malaga airport 1 3/4hrs.
Many visitors find it difficult to leave the poolside, where you can laze about in total privacy by the 9m x 4.5m oval, mosaic-tiled pool (1.5m/2m deep, with modern filter system, water jets and underwater lighting) and enjoy a beautiful mountain view from under a flowering jacaranda or a camellia.
Comfortable seating is provided: 6 loungers, a double rocking chair and a table with parasol and 4 chairs.
The house is surrounded by a huge, landscaped garden on many levels, interconnected by stone steps; some passages shaded by canopies of vine. From the road, the house is almost invisible behind its spectacular and colourful tropical vegetation.
There is a large terracotta-paved terrace with hardwood table where six can dine al fresco, shaded by a camellia tree, bordered by goldfish and lily ponds, and overlooked by an enclosure inhabited by a dozen tortoises.
Another terrace has a traditionally built barbecue and more seating.
There is ample secure parking and it is possible to drive almost right up to the house, so those who find uphill walking difficult need not worry.
With a number of ponds and a large deep irrigation reservoir, little children should not be left outside unattended.

Local activities in and around Orgiva, Granada/Costa Tropical
The nearest seaside town is Salobreña, 35km/27 miles away, with a Moorish castle on a towering rock overlooking a rocky bay, where you can watch fresh fish caught that morning grilled for you in a boat on the beach. There are plenty of unspoilt coves to explore, with very private swimming possible. Salobrena is as pretty as it is as yet unspoilt by mass tourism.
Granada with its Alhambra Palace, live flamenco in Gypsy caves and a mediaeval cathedral is 45km/33 miles away. The ski resort of Sierra Nevada is a similar distance, and you could squeeze in a day's skiing till the end of March.
Many charming Andalusian white villages are 20 minutes' drive away, and the dramatic landscapes of the Sierra Nevada mountains which rise to 3,400m start almost on your doorstep. A walk up the hill from the villa, and not only can you see the Mediterranean, but, on a clear day - Africa.
You can go riding, hire a mountain bike, go paragliding, or walking in the mountains. There is a tennis court in Orgiva for public use. There are three weekly yoga classes, and Orgiva is well known for its many alternative therapies available, from massage and aromatherapy to reflexology, acupuncture, meditation, reiki and others you may not have known existed.
Keep the Thursday morning free for the outdoor market, where the goods sold range from the edible and the mundane to the exotic; and, Spanish fashion, watch the world go by.
