This apartment is in the ideal location, only 30 minutes from Faro airport and within 5 mins of the lovely unspoilt historic town of Tavira and beaches,yet being in a quiet location with a communal pool, 2 barbecue areas and superb roof terrace with wonderful views of the countryside and sea and a restaurant 200yds away. Ideal for a family base. A car would be recommended to explore the area, which has so much to offer, including the superb beaches on the Isle of Tavira, and short drive to Spain only taking 30 mins.
In the town of Tavira take a walk around the cobbled streets or along the river bank. Visit one of the many restaurants or hop a on a boat for the 5 min ride to the beautiful beaches on the Isle of Tavira. It seems time has stood still in this charming old town with a long history. Its also a perfect base for Golfers with 3 excellent courses within 15 mins.
The apartment has private underground parking, with a communal garden area and pool, inc jacuzzi. 2 barbecue areas and very large roof terrace with superb views of the sea and country side. Local activities in and around Tavira, Eastern Algarve
Tavira is often known as the prettiest town of the Algarve. The lovely nature reserve of Ria Formosa is within only 8 kilometres. The beautiful island beach is a short boat ride away, with plenty of beach cafes and sunshades etc. Water sports available during the summer.
Algarvean and Roman history, architecture and culture are in Tavira in abundance. Visit the many churches and castle. Enjoy a meal or snack besides the river and take in the atmosphere of Tavira with its lovely pedestrian areas and bandstand. Other local places to visit are Cabanas, Santa Luzia, Castro Marim to name but a few. Charming fishing villages such as Olhao and Fuzeta are less than 15 kilometres away and well worth a visit. Golf courses nearby (5 mins) Benamor, (15 mins) Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima.
Vist the beautiful city of Seville, the capital of Anadalucia (approx one and half hours away). Not forgetting the lovely town just over the border in Spain (25 mins) of Ayamonte. Vist central and western Algarve and explore resorts such as Lagos, Vilamoura, Portimao and Albufuera, all within one hour of Tavira. Loule market is also a good place to visit to hunt for that bargain!
