Excellent holiday apartments in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ischl, right in the heart of the lakes and mountains of Austria's Salzkammergut. Each individually furnished apartment features a newly fitted kitchen with oven,dishwasher,microwave and fridge. Broadband internet access to all apartments.
Located in a quiet residential area, our apartments are around 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bad Ischl, this is a great place for holidays at any time of the year, with plenty to see and do.
We offer our guests a friendly and warm welcome to our home in Austria, as we live on site we are always available for help and assistance. Continental breakfast is available and is served in the comfort and privacy of your own apartment.

A well furnished studio apartment with new kitchen area ( dishwasher,ceramic hob and over with integrated microwave), shower/wc and centrally heated. Ideal for single travellers, couples and small families. The apartment has a balcony with views to the surrounding mountains. There is free on-site parking, storage for skis, boots and bicycles and a fully equipped laundry room. A range of foodstuffs can be ordered to be delivered to you at the start of your holiday.
We try to make travelling with children as easy as possible. We have a cot, high chair and changing mat available on request. Disposable nappies can be ordered in advance and will be in your aparmtent on arrival. If there is anything else you need, let us know and we will do our best to arrange it.
We can arrange airport transfers from Salzburg and Linz airports. Please contact us for details. In spring, summer and autumn we can arrange a programme of optional excursions to local places of interest. These can be booked in advance and arranged on days to suit you. We also offer a "pick up" service for walkers. In winter we operate a "direct to slopes" service to the Dachstein West resort of Gosau - no carrying of skis!!
Need more space - why not book apartment 1 and 2 together and have space for 6 people. We offer a 15 euros per night discount on the total price when the two apartments are booked together.

Local activities in and around Bad Ischl, Upper Austria / Oberosterreich
Bad Ischl is in the heart of the Salzkammergut. A spa town, it was once the sumer retreat of the Austrian Royal Family. The town is a popular tourist destination, throughout the year, as is surrounded by the most beautiful lakes and mountains. Bad Ischl has a good range of restaurants, bars and shops,including the world famous Zauners Konditorei.There is great walking and cycling all around on miles of marked paths.The golf course is just 10 minutes away. There are festivals and events throughout the year. In the summer there are daily concerts in the town, which also plays host to the Lehar Festival.
In winter, Bad Ischl is ideally situated to access a wide range of ski areas. We can arrange a daily transfer service to the major ski area of Dachstein West or you can take the free ski bus (which runs from the centre of Bad Ischl, about 1 hour). The area has a good snow record and the ski areas are well served with lifts and mountain restaurants.
For complete beginners or those of a nervous disposition try a day at Postalm, about 25 minutes away by car.
For those who want something a little more adventurous the Dachstein Krippenstein free ride area offers pisted and off piste runs, high above Lake Hallstatt( about 30 minutes by car).
Ski rental and ski school can be arranged in Bad Ischl or at the main resorts.
Only got a weekend to ski ?- no problem! We arrange weekend ski breaks; airport collection, booking ski lessons, sorting ski passes and ski hire. We'll even store your equipment if you want to come back more than once in a season!
For non-skiers the town boasts an excellent thermal bath facility which offers a wide range of beauty therapies.
Dachstein West
Gosau is the centre of the Dachstein-West ski region. Excellent family skiing on well groomed, uncrowded slopes!
Bad Ischl was the holiday retreat of the Kaisers, and retains the charm of this by-gone age. A thermal spa town, Bad Ischl has a many sites of interest, including the Kaiser Villa and the Kurhaus. A visit to Zauner's Konditorei is a must for those with a sweet tooth! In summer the Lehar festival celebrates the works of one of its more famous residents.
St Wolfgang
Located on the shores of Lake Wolfgang, St Wolfgang and its neighbouring towns of St Gilgen and Strobl ,make a lovely visit. The lake is clean enough to swim in, and is pleasantly warm in summer. Regular ferries criss cross the lake. In St Wolfgang there is the Shafberg Mountain Railway, which gives excellent views of the surrounding countryside.

The area has facilities for cycling,fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, mountaineering,sailing,swimming, tennis,walking and water ski-ing.
Non skiing activities in winter
For non skiers Bad Ischl offers a number of options. There are winter sleigh rides and tobagganing. Relaxing days in the thermal baths where a fully range of beauty therapies can be booked. The cities of Salzburg and Linz are well worth a visit at any time of the year.
Advent in the Salzkammergut
The period of advent is one of traditional markets and nativity plays. The local tourist office produces a leaflet of all the events around the area.
Golf in the Salzkammergut
Bad Ischl has a great golf course, which is a short drive from our apartments. The mountain views from here are wonderful! There is a full club house and golf shop. The Franz Laimer indoor and outdoor golf training centre is next to the main course. We can assist with booking tee times and green fees are reasonable.
There are also golf courses at Fuschl, Mondsee(2) and Bad Aussee, all of which are easily drivable from our house.

Rental Notes: Apartments are available from 3pm on the day of arrival and need to be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Arrival and departure can be arranged for any day of the week. Prices include heating,electricity, bed linen and towels. There is an end cleaning charge of 30 euros. Tourist tax is payable locally - rate per person per night 1.50 euros ( 18 years and over)
We live on site, so are available for help and assistance throughout your stay.
Climate Protection In Austria we take protection of the climate very seriously. We try to help by: Recycling waste - guests are encouraged to separate waste for recycling and to compost bio waste Brown water use - water is collected from our roof for garden watering and as a brown water supply for the house.Insulation and Solar Heating - all hot water is heated by solar power ,so reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. Public transport - Austria has an excellent system and we provide information to help our guests use the system.
