Moon Cottage has the benefit of a conservatory/dining room which overlooks the garden and patio, a haven for many species of wild birds. To the front of the cottage is woodland and to the rear, farmland. In cooler weather, enjoy the cosy living room with its log burning stove.
The accommodation provides cosy living room with log burning stove, leather suite, radio, CD player, flat screen television DVD, and digibox. The fully fitted oak kitchen, contains a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave and is extensively equipped with cookware and tableware.
The conservatory/dining room which houses an extendable pine table, opens onto the attractive and secluded patio area. The first floor bedroom has a king size bed, pine furniture, TV and looks out onto woodland, the second floor bedroom has twin beds, pine furniture, combi TV/video/DVD and a stunning view from the dormer window. A rollaway bed is available to accommodate a fifth person.
The extensive inventory includes a Weber barbeque, sun umbrella, garden chairs and patio furniture. Outside is a large, secured, cottage garden, patio and off-road parking for two vehicles. For the guests' convenience thre is a pay phone which accepts both incoming and outgoing calls.

This extensively equipped self-catering holiday cottage is both comfortable and stylish and ideally located for your self catering holiday, situated on the Sussex/Kent border, approximately 12 miles from the Spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, 16 miles from the picturesque and ancient town of Rye, 12 miles from Battle and the 1066 country and 16 miles from Hastings, the nearest south coast resort. From Etchingham Station there are fast trains to London and the South Coast. There is an abundance of places of interest, historic sites and National Trust properties in the vicinity, including Batemans the home of Rudyard Kipling, Scotney Castle, Bodium Castle and Leeds Castle.
For garden lovers visit the National Pinetum at Bedgebury, Sissinghurst, Pashley Manor or just relax in our own pretty cottage garden. For the more active, Moon Cottage is near to Bewl Water Reservoir which offers a range of sporting activities, including sailing, wind-surfing, fishing, riding and cycling, just a five minute drive from Dale Hill Golf Club with its highly reputed 18 hole Ian Woosenam course, or enjoy a stroll or cycle through the breathtakingly beautiful rolling countryside.
Guests are invited to enjoy the facility of our own 40 acre woodland in Flimwell with its picnic area and stream which is the tributary of the River Bewl, just a short walk from Bewl Water and connecting by public footpath also to Bedgebury Forest (less than a 10 minute drive from Moon Cottage); the woods are especially beautiful in April/May when there is a blanket of Blue Bells.
