Fountainwell Cottage is a 3 bedroom beamed cottage with woodburner which sleeps up to 5 people but we offer discounts for couples so you don't pay for space that you don't need.
The cottage is conveniently located in the heart of one of the prettiest villages of the Peak District National Park, Youlgreave. It is within easy strolling distance of the 3 village pubs (all of which serve good food) and the local shops.
Fountainwell Cottage is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. It has a large dining kitchen with farmhouse table. The sitting room has comfortable seating for 5 people - ideal for relaxing in front of the woodburner after a hard days walking or sight seeing. From the sitting room is the secluded rear garden, great for BBQ's or catching the sun. The rear of the garden overlooks open fields. There are three bedrooms upstairs, two double and one single and the upstairs bathroom has electric shower over the bath.

Many of our guests find Fountainwell Cottage so comfortable that they just relax and enjoy a well earned break but the Peak District does offer numerous attractions and activities if you do want a more active holiday - there is something for everybody.
Fountainwell Cottage is conveniently located in the heart of the village and within easy walking distance of the 3 village pubs (all of which serve goodfood), newsagent, 2 butchers / general stores and the village Post Office.
Bakwell, home of the famous Bakewell pudding is just 3 miles away. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth are both within a few minutes drive. The cable car at Matlock is just a few minutes drive away. Horseriding is available in the next village. The spectacular Blue John Caverns are within easy driving distance as is Alton Towers.
Fountainwell Cottage is situated in the Peak District village of Youlgreave which is 3 and a half miles from Bakewell and about half an hours drive from Junction 28 of the M1.

Rental Notes: Please note that the rates quoted above are weekly rates for couples requiring just the master bedroom - we lock off the other bedrooms so that you are not paying for space that you are not using. If you require the whole cottage please contact us for the rates.
The cottage is available for short breaks either mid-week or at the weekends (start day flexible), except for July, August, Christmas and New Year when we only offer weekly breaks commencing on Saturday.
Regular 3 night weekend breaks are £ 240 for just the master bedroom and £ 270 for both bedrooms. The 3 night bank holiday weekend rate is £260 or £355 respectively.
All rates are inclusive of towels, linen, heating & utilities. The only additional charge that we make is for pets and babies which are £25.
A £100 deposit is required on booking for weekly breaks with the balance being due 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday. For short breaks we request full payment at the time of booking.
