A touch of country style.... this is "La Montanara", a lovely house on two levels (6/8 sleeps) located in the small hamlet of Monterone in the historic center of Forio d'Ischia: Our "Green Island".
The house is a perfect place for family as well as couples on honeymoon. It is located just 5 minutes walk away from supermarkets and shops; 20 minutes walk away from beach. A little slop (150 metres) leads to the entrance of the house. Parking nearest.
Lovely house overlooking the blue sea, situated in a small, old hamlet in Forio d'Ischia. The house is on two levels (150 s.m.) and has a spacious Mediterranean garden (lemon trees, orange and herbs) and a charming patio for your dinner and terraces.
On the first level there is a large dining/living room with table, sofas, chairs, tv, fireplace and antique painted furnitures. A small living room nicely painted with frescos of the island with a sofa/bed (french bed) and fireplace. A kitchen (equipped) and a small toilette (wc+sink).
A wooden staircase leads to the second level where are 3 double bedrooms (2 queen/1 twin), 3 bathrooms all of them with shower; a laundry room and a panoramic, large terrace (equipped). All the windows and wooden doors are painted with different colours. Several rooms have terracotta tiles and one queen bedroom has original maiolica tiles.
The charming patio has wooden floor, sofa and an antique wooden table (dating back 1800) with chairs for dinner "al fresco". The mediterranean garden is equipped with sunchairs, umbrella, bbq, shower and small table. Its sounds, smells and sweet colours make "La Montanara" a little "guache" of our island.

Local activities in and around Forio, Campania
Ischia with its blue sea and large beaches is the largest island near Naples.
Here you can choose a crazy nightlife but also a visit to Lady Walton's garden (La Mortella) or getting a look to "La Colombaia" the house of the famous director Luchino Visconti, or listen to a concert in September to "Villa Arbusto".
You can also choose of walking in the amazing woods of the island as "Il Cretaio" or for more active people a walk on the top of the volcano Epomeo.
Ischia is also becoming famous for its young wine industries and their products, sincerly to taste.

This year,Germany is the principal object of the kermesse.
It will be possible to visit many famous set in Ischia.
