The spacious 'Marysol' apartment is excellently located in the Los Volcanes Residence in Playa del Ingles resort, 12 minutes walk from the wonderful 5 mile long Playa del Ingles/Maspalomas beach. The apartment is peaceful; yet a small supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars, nightlife, tennis courts, laundry and internet access are within very close walking distance. Maspalomas golf course is nearby.
Situated on the 5th floor (with 2 lifts) the apartment has 2 bedrooms (one queen-size double, one twin), lounge, bathroom, kitchen/diner, and a sunny balcony for dining, with seaviews and overlooking the pool. Baby cot available.
We also have another, almost identical, apartment on the same 5th floor of the Los Volcanes Residence. (See property CG27767, Marysol apartment 2.) Taken together, the two apartments sleep up to 8 people.
A third very similar apartment (2 twin bedrooms) may be available in the adjacent, 'twin' building (rental charge £320 pw, refurbished & extra service.)
The Los Volcanes Residence has an outdoor pool with a children's area, surrounded by a garden with an area for boules. Guests may use the tennis courts (also racket hire) of the elegant Club next door for a small fee.
Transit from Las Palmas airport is easy (about 30 mins); a taxi from the airport costs about 30 euros and there is a bus (cost about 5 euros). Gran Canaria is a very interesting island to visit and is safe and friendly. The climate is one of the best anywhere in the world, with pleasant warmth and sun year-round.
Playa del Ingles/Maspalomas has the sunniest climate of Gran Canaria and an amazing golden sand beach stretching for more than 5 miles. Part of the beach is officially naturist. The beach, the famous dunes and a nature reserve were protected while the resort was developed around them in the 1970s. The 'Marysol' apartment is located within an easy walk of the beach and its water sports, golf and tennis, as well as the attractions of the resort with affordable restaurants, shops, sports and nightlife.
Enjoy the food, with fish fresh from the sea and local tropical fruits. Las Palmas, capital of the Canaries, is an attractive small Spanish city. You do not need a car; the buses are good. However exploring the island with a hired car is also rewarding; and the Residence has a car park (free of charge to guests). Gran Canaria is probably the most interesting of the Canary Islands. The scenery and coastline is varied and spectacular with mountains and lush forests, and picturesque old villages.
