Our Chalet Beaumont apartment is situated in a spectacular location at the foot of Mont Blanc, perfect for those wishing to enjoy peaceful surroundings with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Chamonix town. The chalet is set into the mountain side and is owned by Richard and Jenny Avent who have run the chalet since 1993 and live in one of the apartments with their young sons Mathieu and Sebastien and are on hand to give you a high level service and to share their extensive knowledge of the area.

Attractions and nightlife Chamonix boasts one of the highest cable cars in the world at the Aiguille du Midi, which starts from the valley floor and climbs to the summit at 3,842m. Looking from the terraces at the top, you'll experience a fantastic panorama, with only Mont Blanc more prominent on the horizon. The Montenvers train is another main attraction.
This funicular railway climbs from the valley floor up to France's largest glacier, the Mer de Glace. Nearby excursions include a scenic train ride to Switzerland, a visit to the Medieval town of Annecy - often referred to as the 'Venice of the Alps', or excursions to the town of Evian and the fortified village of Yvoire on Lac Léman. For the children, there is nearby Lake Chavant in Les Houches that has tennis couts, kid aventure where kids from the age of 4 years harness up to test their mountaineering skills amongst the trees as well as a great play area. 15 minutes down the valley takes you to the Lacs des Passy when it is just too hot in Chamonix. Here there are swimming areas, beaches and ice-cream cafes, all with breath taking views of Mont Blanc.
There are numerous bars and restaurants with many clubs still rocking into the small hours. You can sample a complete cosmopolitan range of dining including Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Swedish and American as well as numerous choices of the famous savoyarde dishes of fondues, raclettes and pierrade..
