Apartment La Torretta is one of eight apartments of Le Docce farm holiday resort, that rises on the enchanting estate of the same name, on a hill in the heart of Tuscany that gently descends toward Castelfiorentino. It lies at the border between Florence, Pisa and Siena, not far from other towns of scenic, historic and cultural importance such as San Gimignano, Certaldo and Volterra. The estate is part of the farming enterprise run by the Ciampalini family that has renovated the estate and converted it into a farm holiday resort, preserving the typical features of the original rural buildings and characteristic Tuscan crops.
Le Docce is ideal for different families holidaying together and for large groups.
On the first floor of the one of two buildings of the magnificent farmhouse, dating back to the mid-19th century, there is La Torretta apartment (100 meters squared).
To dine out, there is a big paved area, at ground floor, (reserved for the 3 apartments at upper floor), with big umbrellas, barbecues, chairs and tables. This apartment is equipped with dishwasher, fireplace and TV.
The farmhouse dominates the summit of the hill and has been restructured into eight self catering apartments. The apartments that were created during the renovation of the two old rural buildings maintain the ancient terracotta floors and wood beamed ceilings that are typical of Tuscan architecture.
Beyond the apartments there is a delightful reception area, a swimming pool that offers a superb, sweeping view from San Gimignano to the Apuan Alps, a large park with picnic tables and barbecues, a lawn bowling field and mountain bike trails.
Immersed in the peaceful countryside, our guests will enjoy long walks along the paths of the estate among vineyards, olive groves and wheat fields that adorn the colorful slopes. Guests can admire the natural spring from which comes the resort’s name, Le Docce; the fields that yield our typical products, and take part in genuine country life thanks to the activities regularly organized by Cinzia and Cristina Ciampalini.

Le Docce is a ‘real’ farm holiday resort, where guests can truly ‘live’ a country lifestyle. Guests can take advantage of leisure time to take part in seasonal activities carried out at the farm such as the pruning of olive trees and grapevines and, later on in the year, the olive and grape harvests.
One can take long walks or bike rides along the Francigena, the old road that once led to France, winding up among gentle slopes covered with vineyards, olive trees and woods; admiring the old farm houses that dot the land, beautiful centuries old plants and several bird species.
In autumn, in partnership with the Valdelsa Truffle Pickers Association, Cinzia and Cristina Ciampalini organize excursions for guests in search of these highly valuable tubers.
At the estate it is possible to taste and purchase oil and wine produced from surrounding cultivation. Moreover, guests can enjoy the many services offered by Le Docce that will make their stay even more pleasant.
Castelfiorentino represents the natural crossroads of the Valdelsa area, because of excellent position linking it directly to the main art cities and other places of historic and artistic importance.
