Church Cottage, Jacobstow - Traditional Cottage near Boscastle
Cottage with 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 5, Garden
An ancient whitewashed cottage in the charming Cornish village of Jacobstow 3 miles from the sea. Church Cottage is comfortable, cosy and peaceful but is also well-equipped, easily accessible and in an area with plenty of local attractions.
The cottage is in a small village next to the church and stream. It dates from at least the 15th century.
It retains the charm of a traditional cornish cottage with low ceilings, beams, flagstones and fireplaces but has been tastefully modernised including a new well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and three cosy and comfortable bedrooms.
Facilities include flat panel Digital TV, DVD player, quality hi fi and a well-equipped kitchen including Rayburn. There are two garden areas.
The excellent local pub is 1 mile up the road and that same village also has two local stores. More extensive shopping facilities are available at nearby Bude, Camelford, Launceston and Wadebridge.
The cottage is reached via quiet country lanes but with very easy access to the main artery roads into and through Cornwall. The majestic coastline of North Cornwall is only a few minutes away - Crackington Haven 3 miles, Boscastle 6, Tintagel 8, Bude 8, Port Isaac 14. There are several excellent sandy beaches in this area offering surfing and other watersports and there are some spectacular cliff walks. Other cornish attractions such as Padstow, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a comfortable drive.
Would be a great choice for a holiday for families or a group of friends.

"What was particularly noticeable about the house was the peace and tranquility. I imagine that the garden with the decking area in summer is a lovely place to relax.
Over time we have stayed in quite a few cottages and I can honestly say that yours is one of the nicest we have stayed in.
