Relax in the secluded 2 acre orchard, on the banks of your own crystal clear mountain river, or use the house as a perfect location for enviable holiday combinations: Mountain walking, white sandy beaches, bird watching, surfing, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking, or sightseeing, shopping in charming places such as Gijon, Oviedo, Picos De Europa, Covadonga
The area is home to stunning country side, amazing cities,coast & mountains, historical architecture, an irresistible choice of restaurants, cider bars, cafes and chic shops inc: Oviedo/Gijon All this is so easy to reach using Brittany Ferries, RyanAir or EasyJet.
This house has been beautifully renovated, and the superb quality of the furnishings reflect its exquisite surroundings.
With 3 bedrooms, the property sleeps 4 to 6 people in comfort, although we prefer to let to 4 people. Full C/H, and radiators throughout, triple glazed windows, a spiral staircase, wooden and tiled floors and wooden shutters on all windows, the house is cosy & warm in any weather.
The lounge/dining area is open plan with a gorgeous leather "L" shaped seating area in front of a ornamental stone fireplace.
The fully equipped kitchen area has all the day to day essentials that any aspiring cook could need, and with a weekly fresh produce market in the local village on Mondays, creating a feast of local fare should be the least of your worries!! ..great area for foodies!
3 bedrooms are located at the top of the ornate spiral staircase, two doubles and one twin, all with lovely views, and the main bedroom with its own balcony. The house also has 2 shower rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs.
Just a stroll down the leafy lanes is the pretty village of Espinaredo, with some of the best preserved HORREOS or barns in Spain, the little bar also serves a very pleasant tapas.
5km beyond you will find the outstanding restaurant La Vega (Lo De Pelayo), situated on the left just before you meet the main Infiesto road.
With its wonderful menu bristling with freshly caught and grilled local fish, venison or wild boar, this is a restaurant not to miss. Make sure you try the spider crab when in season!!
An superb 3 course evening meal with drinks and coffee will cost you around 20 euros pp.
2 km further on lies the bustling local town of Infiesto, which offers everything from delicious home made pastries, to supermarkets, to kayak hire. The weekly farmers market takes place on Mondays. Infiesto has everything you need and more.. banks post office,chemist,medical centre,police station, fuel train stations,dentist and great shops

Bedrooms:
2 Double Bedrooms, 1 Twin Bedroom. Main bedroom has balcony overlooking gardens and valley, also has TV/DVD player. All rooms have shutters not curtains, and triple glazing. There are wardrobes in one double room, and the twin room.

2 Showers. Upstairs bathroom has shower, sink, toilet and bidet. Downstairs, shower, sink, shower.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Fridge, Iron. The kitchen is fully equiped for all types of cooking, and the fridge has a small freezer compartment too. There is also an extractor fan over the cooker. Kettle, toaster, coffee machine etc provided.
General:
Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided. Please note: The real fire is only available for use in the winter months, and only with the permission of the landlord. This is sadly due to insurance connotations, and previous misuse by guests.

DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. Please note that the property currently has no landline telephone connection, and that there is NO mobile phone signal in the valley. The signal starts at Espinaredo. PS2 console from Summer, 2009.

We use Jaire Aventura. They are superb, and very safety conscious. Quads cost approx 40 euros per hour, the 2hr trek is great. Jaire also provide canoes, bikes, buggies and horses. Skiing: Picos de Europa. Surfing: On one of many local beaches. Birdwatching: The hills are full of wonderful birds and condors. Canoeing: Ribadesella hosts a major world canoe championship every year. Football: Visit Sporting Gijon or Racing Santander of the Primera Liga. Mountain Walking: Locally and in the Picos De Europa. Pony Trekking. Mountain Biking: Bikes available to hire in many places inc. "The Valley of the Bears". Fishing. Museums: There are many including the Cider Museum at Nava, the Jurassic museum at Villaviciosa, and the highly recommended Railway museum in Gijon. Architecture: Asturias is renowned for a wealth of Pre Romanesque buildings, many located in Oviedo and Covadonga. Play golf in Asturias: Club de golf de La Barganiza. Located 12 kilometres from Oviedo and 14 kilometres from Gijón, this course was inaugurated in 1982 and has since been redesigned and extended. Golf Municipal de Llanes: This club is located between the Cantabrian Sea and the Picos de Europa mountains, on a plateau with beautiful views, surrounded by stunning landscapes. It is a Scottish links-type course with autochthonous grass on the fairways mixed with other typical golf course species, and special grass on the greens. La Rasa de Berbes This club is located close to the coastal village of Berbes. It is in a beautiful spot with views of the majestic peaks of the Picos de Europa mountains.

Rental Notes: All rentals except by prior arrangement with the house owners, run from Saturday afternoon to the following Saturday morning (7 Nights).
Guests are requested not to arrive at the property earlier than 3pm on the first day of their stay, and they are kindly requested to vacate the house no later than 11am on their day of departure.
This allows the house and contents to be cleaned and refreshed for the arrival of our next guests.
An arrival basket can be purchased in advance for £30. All items will be purchased locally on your day of arrival, and placed in the house and fridge for you to enjoy when you get there.
The basket will contain bread, milk, eggs, cheese, local ham, wine, cider, onions, red/green peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, orange juice, tuna, local sausages, lettuce, apples, oranges, butter and jam. Veggie baskets will also be available.
