Casa Ordiales is situated in the peaceful rural hamlet of La Magdalena with stunning views towards the mountains of the Redes Natural Park. The garden is South facing ideal for sunbathing, eating 'al fresco' and generally relaxing.
The cottage Casa Ordiales, is a delightful rural property perfectly positioned for exploring Asturias. The ground floor has a spacious kitchen/dining area, a modern wood-burning stove and large shuttered windows that look directly into the garden. There is a lovely orange tree right opposite the front door. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one twin, one double, the third bedroom is small with full size bunk beds.
The garden has excellent vistas, it is private, south facing with a lovely orange tree for shade. Casa Ordiales has excellent access to all amenities and it is a 5 minute drive to the Nalon Valley town of El Entrego, and close to Pola de Laviana.The amenities in these places include, bars, resturants, shops, cinemas, theatre, leisure centre, and are well served with trains and buses.
The spectacular rugged coastline of Asturias's Costa Verde reminiscent of Cornwall or the West coast of Scotland has sandy beaches, spectacular cliffs, secluded coves, small fishing villages and excellent seafood restaurants. Villaviciosa's Rodilles beach a popular surfing venue, is 45mins drive from the house.

Facilities for this holiday cottage in Oviedo, North West
1 Double Bedroom, 2 Twin Bedrooms. The South facing double and twin room have amazing views and the third twin has bunk beds.
Bathrooms:
1 Bathroom. In the bathroom there is a bath, shower, toilet and bidet. The water is heated by electricity.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. There is a spacious cool pantry off from the kitchen and the washing machine is situated in the 'Casita' adjoining the house.
General:
Real Fire, Telephone, House Linen, Towels Provided, Internet Access. There are no extra charges. Mobiles normally get good reception, alternatively, the telephone's connected for emergencies and incoming calls. There is an 'honesty box' for outgoing calls.
Dining:
Seating for 6. In addition to the kitchen/dining area there are areas in the garden with tables and chairs for dining Al Fresco!
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Radio, CD System. There are a selection of DVDs, books, magazines and games for guests. There is ADSL (wireless/ethernet) for people bringing their own laptops and wanting to connect to the internet.
Outside:
Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The garden is exceptionally lovely and is ideal for BBQs and generally relaxing.

Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Sorry - No Pets Allowed.
This is not a property for people impaired mobility. It is recommended that if hiring a car, a smallish model with high ground clearance would be ideal for the small and often steep country roads.
Local activities in and around Oviedo, North West
The environmental richness of the nearby Redes Natural Park with its pretty, distinctive villages, beautiful forests, tumbling streams, attractive villages, well marked trails, high alpine meadows, imposing limestone mountains and a way of life that is steeped in culture, is very easily accessible from the house. The area is perfect for all manner of activities including fly fishing on the Nalon river, walking on well marked trails, rock climbing, mountaineering, pony trekking, caving, mountain biking, or gentle picnicing!
World class rock climbing venues of Quiros and Terverga are a fifty minute drive, with several sports climbing areas of all grades spread around the area. In the Valles del Trubia is the famous Senda del Osos, the walk of the bears, a 22kl flat,marked trail though easy but spectacular scenery.
There is also some lovely walking straight from the house with no need to drive. April, May and June are fine months for spotting an amazing array of wild flowers particularly orchids.
Visits to the National Park of the Picos de Europa and several other national parks including Somiedo, Peña Ubino, Quiros and the nature reserve of the Villaviciosa estuary, can be undertaken easily in a day. These parks are home to some of Europe’s dwindling population of Bears and Wolves. Birdwatchers look out for a wide variety of birds including Golden Eagles and Egyptian Vultures. One of the lovely features of the house is hearing the Owls calling in the night.
Asturias is renowned for cider, so look out for the 'Siderias'and if visiting in Autumn you will see the apple trees loaded with fruit the local Asturians making their own particular 'brew'
Oviedo the regions capital, and the attractive coastal city of Gijon situated on the Costa Verde, are both half an hour away. Leon, a remarkable city of fine Romanesque and Gothic monuments is just one and a half hours away and Ski resort San Isidro one hour.
