This semi-detached house is located in a charming new neighbourhood north of Tavira town and bordering on the beautiful calm countryside that is so characteristic of the eastern Algarve, far from the madding crowds and mass tourism.
Even in august one can find stretches of empty white sand beach on the 12 km lagoon island, that runs parallel to the mainland from Faro to Cacela. Beaches are easily accessed by either ferry, taxiboat, car, miniture train and foot, an ideal setting for kids and for romantic breaks.
A golfers paradise, this location is ideal for frequenting several beautiful courses within 5 to 15 minutes drive.

The lounge has a 36 inch flat screen TV, DVD player with library of DVDs, music system , Air-conditioning and 3 extra large sofas, solid wood dining table with seating for 8.
Adjoining to this room is a beautifully fitted modern kitchen with all appliances, an American fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The Kitchen leads out to the patio with further dining space for 12 around a large teak table with sun umbrella, next to this is a large upholstered wicker sofa suite onlooking the pool. An outdoor mosaiced shower and bar/kitchen area is located by the built-in barbeque.
A flight of steps from the patio takes one to a perfect sun-soaked terrace, overlooking the pool and patio area, and the coastal townscape of Tavira. The roof terrace, accessed from the top floor of the house also commands views over the sea and traditional Tavira tiled-roofs and has garden furniture and a night telescope for star gazing!
In the basement there is your very own 'Madhatters' fully stocked bar, and a small pool table, darts board, Play Station 2 including games and Karaoke, SKY TV.. Play away undisturbed!!

Local activities in and around Tavira, Eastern Algarve
Tavira Island is the more lively of a selection of beautiful beaches in the area. Reached by small ferry boats that regularly travel up and the Gilao river, dotted with many colourful and traditional fishing boats and yachts. The island has a good choice of restaurants and bars, which continue serving late into the night.
Quieter, less populated beaches can be reached either by car, miniature train and on foot, all belonging to the Ria Formosa nature reserve, home to a wide variety of wildlife.
Car hire is not essential, though an advantage for seeing all the beauty and places of interest this region has to offer.
Traditional working fishing villages boasting excellent fish restaurants border Tavira.
Tavira has all amenities and a vast choice in good restaurants, bars and pavement cafes. Divided by a small river crossed by pedestrian and Roman bridges, Tavira remains an authentic and charming tapestry of old and new, a legacy from its colourful past. Summer brings a variety of outdoor and cultural entertainment to Tavira, including 2 outdoor cinema festivals.
Fresh water streams, small waterfalls and rivers merge with the warmest seas of the Atlantic which lines a 12km white sand stretch of semi-duned islands, creating plenty of idealic pockets to discover... A haven for fishing and cockle picking!
Daytime entertainment for children can be found in the large water parks on the otherside of Faro, which run most of the year due to the good climate.
Golf
About 5 minutes car drive away are Benamor golf course and Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria. Beautifully maintained golf courses, par 72, around 5,500 - 6,110m, 18 hole, well situated with coastal views.
