Cave cottage lies undisturbed in a serene Irish country setting. Each morning is a fresh awakening to the sight of the deep blue sea and the softness of the countryside around you.
The northern light weaves and filters through the sky, shifting appearances as the day slowly moves with the the sounds of nature that whisper past your ear. It is at this point exactly, as you lean over the gate, gazing over tot the manless hills beyond, that you feel it. And that 'it' is what you came here for.
The front of this Ireland vacation cottage is literally a stones throw from the sea. If you are brave you can refresh yourself in the crisp Atlantic water .

Seating for 8. A solid wood dining table with enough room for yourself and a few friends.
Entertainment:
Radio, CD System, Board Games. Great walks are to be had just from the front door. If you have a boat you can dock in front of the cottage.
Outside:
Garden, Parking, Garden Furniture. Traditional farmyard layout with a barn, large backyard. There are just fields left and right and the road in front fits one car only in a cul de sac.

The cottage is not generally suitable for the disabled. Most amenities are on the ground floor however.

Cave is at the heart of Ireland's most attractive and culturally rich coastal regions. Only a short distance from the magnifcent Burren, wild and majestic Aran Islands, primitive Connemara, the castles of Kinvara, Corcomroe Abbey, Ballyvaughan, Musical Doolin, Kilfenora, The Flaggy Shore, the Martello Tower.
The area offers some of Europe's finest Golf Courses, try the superb par 72 championship course 15 minutes away from this Ireland vacation rental, at Galway country club or take your pick from the many more in the area.
All fisherman will enjoy the challenge the many lakes and wild Atlantic sea offers. Try big game hunting or cod, ling & pollock.
Boating, sailing, swimming are available to you in the Bay (Nearby Rentals). For a sandy beach to lie on all day, we'll let you into the locals secret.
The area is famous for its oysters with a celebrating festival each year. The pubs nearby are friendly and brimming with traditional music with some surprisingly good food. Music festivals abound, you'll find something wild there.
Galway City is the liveliest spot on the west - if the quiet gets to you. There is wonderful shopping and bargains to be had in jewelry, antiques, crystal, old books and Irish fashion.
There are lovely walks starting from the front gate where of this lovely Ireland vacation rental where you can really find seclusion in this very untouristed area.

And History, ever present on the Irish landscape, looks off and away through the sockets of the burnt down Castle across the bay, but closer still to our Ireland vacation cottage is the ancient fort on the corner that has never been excavated. This is a real 300 year old country cottage in a working farm area with all the charm and glitches typical of a country house. Fisherman work the bay,cows pass the front gate, livestock are in adjoining fields, birds sometimes nest in the thatch, swans are in the bay and small animals can be seen in different seasons. While Cave cottage does not have the amenities or standards of a city hotel it is clean and comfortable with regular housekeeping service by a local person who can be reached while you are enjoying your holiday.
