Choose between exploring the waterways of the "Green Venice" and the byways of Mervent Forest. Feel the excitement of the Puy Du Fou or the fantasy of Futuroscope. Alternatively visit one of Europe's largest inland fishing lakes nearby. Have a taste of French romance by wining and dining in our local gourmet restaurants and return to your beautiful garden to smell the perfume of the lavender whilst watching the sun setting over the hills.
The Front of the Cottage & Private Covered Parking
The Three Star Accommodation Features: On the Ground Floor: Spacious open plan living space with a lounge, kitchen and dining area. The Lounge is light and airy in the summer and warm and cosy in the winter with the log-burner set in a traditional pink granite fireplace. The stylish new fully fitted kitchen and dining area is generously equipped with all the utensils you need to create your own home cooked French delicacies. Light floods the cottage from the double French doors which lead to your rear garden and patio area for "alfresco" dining.
On the First Floor: Romantic large master bedroom with a king size bed where you can stargaze at night through the loft light above and a wooden love seat for you to steal a precious peaceful moment together. The large second bedroom is also light and spacious with two single pine beds. The shower room has a fully tiled shower with massage jets, a wash hand basin and toilet.
The Gardens: The cottage has wonderful private gardens, full of lavender filled rockeries and butterflies. The back garden is safely enclosed and has two patio areas, wooden garden furniture, a sun lounger and a gas barbeque. Shade is provided by the beautiful new wooden pergola. There is a lawn dotted with fruit trees and a log garden seating area. There is also a private carport to keep your car cool in the summer.

Gas hob, electric fan assisted oven, hood, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, tea towels, iron and ironing board are all included. A washing machine is in the carport.

Real Fire, House Linen, Towels Provided. The Clearview log burner keeps the lounge warm and cosy in the winter and all your wood is provided. Each room is fitted with electric heating to ensure you have all year comfort.

Seating for 4. Pine dining room table and chairs plus a high chair if required.
Entertainment:
Video, DVD, CD System, Board Games. The television has French terrestrial TV.
Outside:
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The gardens have two gravel patio areas, a beautiful wooden pergola with wooden bench, chairs and table, a sun lounger, a gas barbeque and a washing line.

The Puy Du Fou is just 40 minutes drive away and offers a unique experience of live shows during the day and evening. A fabulous day out for all age groups.
Pescalis Fishing complex is only 5 minutes drive away for lakeside walks, fishing, play areas, restaurant, pony rides, boating lake, bike hire and seasonal attractions.
The Forest Of Adventure is 3 minutes drive up the road and provides exciting tree top climbing adventures and crazy golf in the shade.
An open air Karting track is only 4 minutes up the road for fast racing fun.
La Roche Brantlant is a country park with walks around granite boulders, a meandering river and play area just 10 minutes drive away.
Mervent Forest is 15 minutes drive away with steep tree lined hills and deep river valleys. Discover pretty villages, a challenging range of walks, rock climbing, horse riding, a childrens zoo and adventure park.
The Marais Poitevin is an area of outstanding natural beauty 40 minutes away. You can explore the peaceful waterways by hiring a boat or a guided boat tour, rent a bike and enjoy the level rides around country lanes where you discover picturesque villages and amazing wildlife.
Futuroscope offers a great day out with 3D shows and simulator attractions, just 70 minutes drive away.
A quality Golf course is 35 minutes away, 18 holes or 6 holes pitch & put.

La Villette hamlet is over the D949 road from St Paul En Gatine, with two country lane entrances. We are a stone cottage with blue shutters one mile down the lane and your cottage is opposite us.
