The apartment is ideally located for immediate access to restaurants, bars, bakery and supermarket.
Within a one minute walk of the apartment you reach the Promenade des Anglais which is lined with cafes, museums and hotels, both modern and Belle Epoque. The Promenade is a long wide road which begins at the eastern end of Nice by the Jardin Albert I and runs the length of the seafront westward for about 6km towards the apartment and the airport. Watersports are accessible along the beach.
The city of Nice is the capital of the Riveria and the fifth largest city in France. The old town of Nice is full of winding cobblestone streets and has a great selection of restaurants and cafes. Nice offers all the cultrual attractions that a city can offer and boasts the greatest number of museums and galleries outside of Paris.
Nice is a great base for daytrips all along the Mediterranean coast and there is a great train service. The main train station is about a 15 minute bus or car ride from the apartment. There is a bus stop outside the apartment, but if you wish to rent a car there are a number of companies based at the airport.
Cannes is located 30 minutes away, Monaco 30 minutes and Ventimilia (Italy) 60 minutes away (there is a great market here every Friday and it is well worth a visit - take the train).
The nearest ski resorts is located 45km away at Greolieres (1400m - 1800m). Other ski areas within a two hour drive are Le Foux D'Allos, Auron and Limone Piemonte
Rental Notes: This is a new property and will be available for rent from August 2006. The property is available to rent from Saturday to Saturday. Other days will be considered as well as rentals for periods of less than one week - contact the owner for details. A deposit of €250 per week is required at the time of booking with the remainder payable eight weeks before the rental period.
Price includes central heating or air conditioning, electricity, sheets, towels and a light clean at the end of your stay. The towels provided are for use in the apartment only. Please bring your own beach towels.
An additional deposit of €150 is required to cover breakages. This deposit also includes a charge of €30 should extra cleaning be required.
Smoking is permitted on the balcony only.
Please note if you are flying from Dublin that RyanAir has now commenced a service directly to Nice Airport.
