Courthouse Farm is situated on the edge of the village of Whitchurch Canonicorum, in the peaceful and picturesque Marshwood Vale within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The West Dorset coast (World Heritage coastline) is 3 miles from Courthouse so an ideal location for the perfect holiday.

The cottage is half of a Chalet Bungalow with one bedroom on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs, a sofa bed in the lounge and sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. There is 1 shower room with shower unit, washbasin, shaver point and toilet downsairs and 1 shower room with shower toilet and washbasin upstairs. Full central heating,electric and hot water included. Fully double glazed windows and doors.
The large garden , is mainly lawn with mature trees; watch the sheep and calves over the garden fence in spring and summer and in the farm buildings in winter. A 15x8' double glazed conservatory leads from the Lounge to the garden. Parking spaces beside the house and entrance gate. In the garden there are garden chairs, a small table and barbecue.
The farm is run with neighbouring Cardsmill Farm, where guests can come and watch twice daily milking, see baby calves, beef animals, sheep, and dogs. Lambing is usually between January and April. Wander to the 20 acre woods or beside the River Char and watch any wildlife. I will be pleased to show you around and answer any questions; as we also grow wheat, barley, forage maize and sometimes linseed and oats. The farms are inspected annually by ABM/FABBL Beef & Lamb Scheme and National Dairy Farm Assurance Scheme for milk production.

Go to the Chesil beach and Abbotsbury Swannery, Gardens and then to Weymouth. Westbay, Burton Bradstock and Charmouth on the coast or visit Beaminster, Sherborne or Shaftesbury inland for that extra special day out. 4 miles to Devon or Somerset, so lots to do and see here in West Dorset. Join in the local village activities, farmhouse breakfast in January, flower festival, village fete and flower show in the summer and cream teas in September.Near village with Pub for meals, Church, Village Hall and childrens play area. 3 miles from coast.
