Faysselle comprises three beautiful holiday homes to rent, set in 12 acres of garden, woodland and meadow in the beautiful countryside of Lot-et-Garonne, South West France.
The centre of activity at Faysselle is the pretty 10.5m x 5.5m swimming pool with a mini pool (ideal for toddlers) and waterfall into the main pool. Pool games, snooker, badminton and boules are provided. Also children's swings.
The local area has much to offer all the family, with beautiful bastide village and markets to explore, leisure lakes, vineyards and a theme park in Agen, our closest town. Horse-riding, tennis and golf and are all available locally.
Local shops, bar and restaurant are three miles away.
The owners and their three golden retrievers live (inconspicously) on site and are available for any information or help you require. We can provide evening meals. Why not start your holiday by joining us for dinner on our wonderful balcony overlooking this glorious countryside?

This gite was converted from a former barn and completed in 2001. It is situated next to the swimming pool - ideal for parents who want to keep an eye on the children swimming.
Downstairs is a large, well-equipped kitchen with cooker, washing machine, microwave and large fridge/freezer, and a shower/wc. The large living/dining room has a dining table and chairs, two sofas and two armchairs. A door leads onto the sunny terrace at the end of the house, complete with patio furniture and barbecue.
Upstairs are three bedrooms (one double, one twin and one triple). The double room has French windows (protected) with a view towards the charming 11th century church whilst the other two bedrooms have views over the pool. There is also a further bath/shower room/wc.
The gite has a selection of family games for inclement weather (well, just in case!) and a dvd player. There is digital tv which will receive, amongst many others, all BBC rv and radio channels.

1 Double Bedroom, 1 Twin Bedroom. All bedrooms are provided with fans for any warm, sultry nights. There is also a triple room present upstairs in the barn.
Communal Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. 12 acres for all guests to roam in. Maintained track takes you past pond to a large field. Incredibly colourful in early summer with abundant wild flowers and several varieties of orchid.

Local activities in and around Agen, Aquitaine/Dordogne
The region is full of historical interest and was much fought over during the Hundred Years' War. there are numerous bastide villages to explore, along with colourful markets selling the wonderful local fruit and vegetables.
We are close to the wine growing areas of Buzet, Duras and Cahors, and for food lovers this area is a must! Magret and confit of duck, foie gras, melons, plums and soft fruit are all produced locally. Agen is famous for its prunes and if your only memory of prunes is from school dinners, wait until you try prunes in Armagnac. You will never think of them in the same way again! Restaurants vary from basic regional cooking to haute cuisine, and prices from 10 euros for a three course lunch to the somewhat more expensive (!) Michelin 3 star restaurant in nearby Puymirol.
Golf and horse riding are close by and there are several leisure lakes with 'beaches'. There is Parc Walibi in Agen, a theme park which is enjoyed by all ages, and and an adventure park with aerial walkways, rope slides etc set in woodland close to Fumel. There is also a small water park near Valence d'Agen about 25 minutes away. There are numerous water sports on the Lot and Garonne rivers, or if you prefer to watch rather than participate then there are boats for hire in Villeneuve-sur-Lot and Moissac, or canal/river trips from Agen or Nerac. There is even a go-kart track near Agen!
Day trips out can include the scenery of the Lot and Dordogne valleys, Cahors and the spectacular St Cirq lapopie, and the larger cities of Toulouse and Bordeaux. The Airbus factory in Toulouse offers tours in English, and there is also an excellent space museum there.
We guarantee you will receive a warm welcome at Faysselle. Many of our guests return time and again and one couple loved it so much they asked if we could organise their wedding here! We have lived here for six years and like to feel that our visitors return not as 'guests' but as 'friends'

Rental Notes: Saturday changeoverJuly/August. Outside of these months we endeavour to be flexible where possible. Arrival after 4pm, departure before 10am, evening meals and home-made ice cream available.
Why not join us for dinner on your first night and immediately get into 'relax' mode? We will serve you and your fellow guests with a four course dinner and wine, sitting on our wonderful balcony with views across the valley. A perfect start to the Fayselle experience!
