This delightful stone cottage is on a quiet lane just outside the village of Marzan, a 15 minute walk from the beautiful river Vilaine. All basic amenities such as bakery, convenience store and bar are available in the village while a larger selection of shops and restaurants can be found in the historic town of La Roche Bernard a five minute drive away.
On the ground floor is a living room with feature stone fireplace and two comfortable sofa beds, dining area with large pine table and six chairs, fully fitted modern open plan kitchen with cooker, fridge with freezer section, microwave and washing machine. There is a downstairs w.c.
The first floor comprises of a mezzanine with double bed, bedroom with two single beds and wardrobe, bathroom and separate w.c.
Although the cottage is advertised for four people it is possible to sleep six, if required.
Outside there is a small front garden. Garden furniture and portable BBQ. Off road parking

Local activities in and around La Roche Bernard, Brittany
The historic town of La Roche Bernard is a 5 minute drive away. A guided tour is a good way to appreciate the town with its small squares and narrow streets. A walk to the Rock site is recommended for unequalled panoramic views of the Vilaine and bridges. The old harbour and marina are worth a visit. The sailing school is a good place to learn water sports. For the less active boat trips are available on the river with the option of a candle-lit meal while cruising between Arzal and Redon. The local area can also be explored by bicycle or on foot along miles of scenic footpaths.
Further afield lies the coast (15 minutes) with miles of sandy beaches and the Briere Natural Area of Beauty with boat trips on the salt marshes, the old town of Vannes (30 minutes), the Golfe du Morbihan with its archipelago of wooded islands and the megalithic stones at Carnac.
There is a good selection of restaurants in La Roche-Bernard offering traditional French cuisine and regional fare including a choice of creperie in the town and down by the river front.
British Airways
Fly from Gatwick to Nantes, hire a car and then it's only an hour's drive to the cottage!
Daily flights from Stansted to Dinard followed by a two hour drive through the scenic Breton countryside with an opportunity to stop for sightseeing on the way.
Ideal way to get to Brittany if you get sea-sick!
