The cottages are purpose built to give families, climbers, hill walkers and fishermen warm and comfortable accommodation in beautiful surroundings overlooking the charming River Coe. We have a Visitscotland Gold award for environmental management and are winners of the Scottish Power Energy Award. In 2001 we installed the very first woodfuelled district heating system in Britain.
Our cottages are perfect for short-break holidays - minimum let 2 nights - away from the stress of everyday life. Bring your dog and stroll on our peaceful woodland paths. Fish our trout lochs FOC (fly only) Walk to the local pub up the road for real ale and live music or just watch the wildlife and the river running past your door. Enjoy the warmth of the underfloor heating and endless hot water all heated centrally by our eco-friendly woodfuelled boiler which also heats the drying room. We are proud of our continuing commitment to the environment and have incorporated many energy saving measures in the running of our business.
Surrounded by our own 50 acres of natural woodlands abundant with birds, butterflies, deer and otters in the river our visitors enjoy tranquility and re-union with nature, fresh air and peace from chaotic city life, smog and noisy traffic. The only sounds are of the River and bird song.
The cottages sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. 2 twin bedrooms and 1 room with bunk beds. There is an open living/dinng room with a well fitted kitchen area with hob, fan oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freeser. The bathroom has a bath as well as a very efficient shower with a large showerhead. All our water comes direct from our own spring and is filtered and passed through a ultraviolet light to give you "bottled water" quality water.
