La Torretta is a special place for a relaxing, tranquil holiday with lazy days spent by the pool with a good book on a comfortable sun lounger. It is also within easy reach of the major places of interest in the area should you feel more adventurous.
It was an old tobacco-drying tower and adjoining barn that has now been completely rebuilt using local materials and converted to provide extremely comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people, with furnishings to a high standard. The house has stunning views and is set in 14 acres of grounds, surrounded by olive trees. Although it is in a rural position it is not isolated. The nearest village is 2 km distant, whilst the English owners live nearby.
The property offers 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, (one en-suite with a walk-in shower). There is a fully fitted kitchen, entrance hall, lounge and dining area. Air-conditioning is installed for the hot summer nights. Under floor heating, together with a wood-burning stove ensures that you will be cosy and warm should you decide to visit outside the usual summer holiday season.
Three sets of French doors open onto a terrace with unspoilt views to the West across the Tiber Valley.The kitchen includes a hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a microwave. All the facilities you might find at home are included. In the lounge there is a satellite TV, DVD player and stereo system, whilst a separate laundry room contains a washing machine.
In the grounds there is a 12 by 6 metre swimming pool and a small spa pool with waterfall, shower and a pool toilet. Alongside the pool is a large gazebo with all the facilities for outdoor dining, including a refrigerator and a BBQ.
If you do not like the hot summer weather, why not come and see the Spring flowers or in the Autumn sample the our new olive oil. For something different, hire a classic car during your stay, or take a flight in a hot air balloon.

1 Double Bedroom, 1 Twin Bedroom. The downstairs bedroom has French doors that open onto a terrace with uninterrupted views to the west across the valley. The upstairs bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.

1 Bathroom, 1 Shower, 1 Separate WC. The downstairs bathroom has a free standing slipper bath with shower, a wash basin, toilet and bidet.
The upstairs bathroom has a large walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. All the facilities you might find at home are in the kitchen.
General:
Real Fire, Central Heating, Air Conditioning, Telephone, House Linen, Towels Provided. Air conditioning is installed for the hot summer months, whilst there is under floor heating and a wood burning stove for the colder times of the year. There is a laundry room with a washing machine.
Dining:
Seating for 4. In the house is a dining table and chairs. Outside under a loggia is a wrought iron table and chairs. Next to the swimming pool is a large gazebo with a dining table and chairs and an outdoor kitchen.
Entertainment:
Satellite TV, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. A selection of DVD's are available to watch.
Internet conection and telephone is available by prior arrangement.
Outside:
Private Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Balcony, Garden Furniture. Covered parking is provided. There is a 12 by 6 metre swimming pool and a small spa pool. Alongside the pool is a large gazebo together with an outdoor kitchen and a BBQ.

Local activities in and around Pierantonio, Umbria
La Torretta offers an ideal base from which to explore the many treasures Italy offers in the surrounding area.
From the cobbled streets of the pretty hill towns of Montone and Anghiari, or the battlefield of Tuoro (where Hannibal defeated the Roman Army in 217), to the tomb of St. Francis of Assisi there is a wealth of history to explore and many beautiful sights to visit or paint.
For something different, enjoy the water sports on Lake Trasimeno. Within easy reach by car are the towns of Sansepolcro, Perugia, Assisi, Spello, Spolletto, Todi, the waterfalls at Narni, and the towns of Orvieto, Montepulciano, Siena, or Florence.
Alternatively why not simply relax, enjoy the scenery, either from the pool or the house or sit under the shade of a large oak tree and read a book. Wake up in the mornings to look out onto the unspoilt views and at mealtimes, enjoy with your salads the olive oil that is produced from the surrounding olive trees.
It is also possible to arrange for wine or olive oil tasting. Or if you feel a little more adventurous, hire a classic car during your stay, or have a flight in a hot air balloon and take off from outside your front door!

Rome Ciampino 200km - Ryanair, Easyjet. Rome Fiumicino 220km - British Airways, Alitalia. Bologna 220km - British Airways, Easyjet. Pisa 270km - British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair, Alitalia, Thomson Fly.
Car hire companies are available at all these airports There are railway stations at Pisa, Fiumicino, and Ciampino airports.
If required we can meet you at either Chiusi or Castiglion del Lago railway station and take you to a local car hire company at Perugia.
Leave E45 exit Resina to Solfagnano Parlesca then turn right to Rancolfo & Valcaprara. After 1km turn right to Valcaprara. After 2km La Torretta is on the left. Co-ordinates N43º14.30 E12º26.32.
