7 Marcwheal - Stunning Views across Mousehole Fishing Village
Cottage with 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4
Beautiful, newly renovated house with a roof terrace looking across Mousehole village and the sea beyond. The idyllic traditional Cornish fishing village of Mousehole has a harbour with two sandy beaches, several cafes, a pub and two good restaurants.
This part of Cornwall is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and has many activities on offer to suit different tastes. You can walk the Cornish coastline, go sailing, swimming, surfing, horse riding, cycling, canoeing, take in an art gallery, dine at some fabulous local restaurants, go to a theme park, find out about local history. There are ancient stone age villages to visit, fougous, stone circles, the famous Minack open air theatre, Cornish cream teas, pasties and fresh fish, dark star-filled nights, tiny country lanes smothered in wild flowers and plenty of activities for kids on a rainy day.

The house is situated just a few moments walk away from Mousehole harbour and the beaches and is in a quiet traffic free area.
There are two bedrooms, one has a double bed and opens out onto a roof terrace with views across Mousehole to the surrounding hills and the sea beyond - its a great place to sit and relax over your coffee and croissant in the morning. The other bedroom has two single beds and also has views across Mousehole.
We have only recently finished renovating the house, and everything is freshly painted. The kitchen and bathroom were put in recently.
The house is our home the rest of the year, so it is a much loved place to stay and we hope you will be very happy here.
Mousehole is a fantastic location for a holiday in Cornwall. The village itself is a very special place and ideal if you have kids as the beaches are protected within the harbour walls and very safe, with clean seawater and a nearby ice cream shop!
The coastline walk between Mousehole and Lamorna must be one of the most beautiful walks in England. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours of walking along wild rugged cliffs until you get to the remote Lamorna cove where there is a cafe overlooking the sea - perfect for taking a break before coming back over the hills.
This property is available for rental from July to September

Local activities in and around Mousehole, South West
All the attractions of this part of Cornwall are within easy reach of Mousehole. St Ives is not far away where you can visit the Tate gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum as well as many other art galleries, restaurants and beaches.
You can take a trip over to the Scilly Isles for a day on the ferry from Penzance. Alternatively you might want to go by helicopter or plane. (You can also book yourself flying lessons at Land's End Aerodrome).
Sennen beach is a long stretch of golden sand and a great place to surf. There are also surf schools on Porthmeor beach in St Ives and at Gwithian beach where kids can have lessons.
The Minack Open Air Theatre on the cliffs at Porthcurno overlooking the Atlantic ocean has a programme of plays all summer long. Below it lies the breathtakingly beautiful Porthcurno beach which is made up of tiny shells, some of them still perfect.
Cornwall has become a fantastic place to eat out. There are some really good restaurants to visit which I heartily recommend - in Mousehole itself there is the Cornish Range and the Old Coastguard. In St Ives there are many places to try but the Porthminster Beach Cafe is sublime! And it is right on the beach with views across the bay (book early). The Blue Fish is another great place for food.
Near Zennor there is the Gurnards Head out in the middle of nowhere and with very good food. Also in Zennor is The Tinner's Arms which is a wonderful pub to visit but not if you have children as you will be relegated to the family room. The drive over will take you to another world.
Here are some addresses of some relevent sites for making the most of a holiday here.
A30 to Penzance. Keep to coast road through Newlyn and on to Mousehole. Just before the Coastguard Hotel on left you will see Parkryn Road on the right. Go up and take the first proper turn left.
