La Boutiere is a stone built cottage, which dates from around 1760 and was originally home to a farm labourer, his family and animals. In 1990 it was restored and extended and is now maintained by its present owners who live about a mile away. The owners are happy to advise on any of the facilites the Vendee has to offer, in order to make your holiday a memorable one
There are two comfortable bedrooms, one with a double bed and, the second with three single beds. A travel cot is also available. The lounge is a spacious room with a wood burning stove and comfortable seating. There is also a TV,DVD,Video, and a selection of videos.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker (grill and oven), fridge and table and chairs. There is also a shower room with toilet and wash basin.

Local activities in and around St Etienne Du Bois, Charente/Vendee/W. Loire
La Boutiere is in a tranquil hamlet so is well suited to activities such as walking, cycling, birdwatching. However it is also in easy reach (30mins) of some of the best, flattest beaches in France. Also nearer the coast there are water parks at St John de Mont and Noirmoutier.
Further inland there is the Puy du Fou where historical scenes are reenacted (worth it for the birds of prey alone), Tiffauge where you will be treated to a demonstration of ancient siege machines, and many more places if interest to visit.
If you feel the need to go shopping then we are within easy reach of Les Sable, Nantes and La Rochelle where there are a good selection of designer shops.
The more adventurous or active amongst you could enjoy Karting tracks, quadbike circuits, windsurfing, horse riding and microlight flights all nearby.
We are situated approx 30 miles south of Nantes in the north of the Vendee, near to Lege. Precise directions are provided when booking is confirmed

We ask that our guests vacate the property by 10:00 and arrival time is not before 16:00 (4pm). The owner will try and be as flexible as possible, with these times,in order to suit your travel arrangements
Deposit - we require a 20% non refundable deposit with your booking and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before your arrival date.
