Chalet Etoile is a new build five bedroom chalet situated in the small traditional Alpine village of St Jean D'Aulps, 6 km from the resort of Morzine in the Rhones-Alps region of France. The chalet is just a little over an hours drive from Geneva airport in the Portes du Soleil area which offers the largest international ski area in the world with over 650kms of marked runs catering for all levels of skiers. It is just a 10 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants in the village centre but benefits from fantastic views and tranquil setting. The chalet has an outside Hot Tub and all mod cons. Passes & equipment hire can be pre arranged through us. Fabulous winter and summer destination.

The chalet is was completed December 2006 in time for winter season.
It is located in a very peaceful setting just above the village of St Jean D'Aulps on the edge of the small town of Morzine. There is just a short walk into the village with its small shops, bars and restaurants, however it is elevated sufficiently to benefit from fabulous valley views.
There is an outside hot tub, brand new high specification 'Beachcomber 350', designed for 8-9 people.
The chalet is offered on a self catering basis for up to 10-12 people, it has five double bedrooms, a large fully equipped fitted kitchen, lounge/dining area, large outdoor covered terrace area, 2 x bathrooms, 1 extra toilet, a storage area, and a car port.
All furnishings and equipment is brand new and includes all mod cons such as large TV, DVD players, washer/dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, etc etc.
The region is one of outstanding natural beauty, and the quiet location is ideal for families with children, or for adults seeking peace and tranquility.

St Jean d'Aulps: Summer site, covers 200 km of hikes in the Valley, with sublime views. Every level of difficulty for children or adults. Short hikes or 3 days trekking. Saint Jean d'Aulps skiing overview, 20km ski slopes in a natural and protected environnement. Beautiful landscape with views of the Dents du Midi in Switzerland, Lake Geneva, the Graydon Combe and the majestic Roc d'Enfer. Have a break in one of the typical savoyard restaurant and enjoy the cosy atmosphere. Mountain biking on hundreds of kilometres of paths adapted to your level in Saint Jean d'Aulps, in Vallee d'Aulps and in Les Portes du Soleil area (ski lifts are adapted to carry bikes in the summer). Cliffs in Valle d'Aulps will enchant the rock-climbers, as much for the beauty of the area, as for the quality of the climb. Enjoy the benefits of the Vallée d'Aulps's cross country ski circuits. They are free and designed for skiers off all levels. An inflatable dingy with a team of between 4 and 8 people led by a qualified guide. Discovery trips for children or more adventurous descents. Open to anyone who can swim.
Morzine Tourist Site, Snowboarding
Morzine-Avoriaz, Equally accessible from the village centre by the Super Morzine gondola lift (which is equipped with new cabins), it is comprised of 70 km of ski runs between 1000 and 2466 meters in altitude. This is paradise for those liking the more modern forms of snow sports, as there are 2 snowparks and the new "Biotop" (the first 100% ecological winter forest park), a half pipe, a "canyon" slope and a new boarder slope. There are also and 4 “snowcross” where you can practice off-piste pursuits in total safety. (Need to go into the 'Sport' area of site, then 'Ski Area' & scroll down to find snowboarding info)
Valley D'Aulps Tourist Site, Ice Diving
Dive into a silent world: as soon as the ice forms over lake Montriond, it's possible to go on a first dive under the ice, to watch the bubbles dance in their attempts to escape from their ice-prison. Dry-suits protect you from the cold: the water temperature varies for 2 to 3°C. Dive to a depth of 8 to 10 metres. All equipment provided.
Valley D'Aulps Tourist Site, Donkey Trekking
Inspiration taken from the old folks' techniques for transporting heavy goods by donkey up to the high pastures, thus you can discover the atmosphere of the mountains as a family, in going on a walk with donkeys.
Haute-Savoie Tourist Site, Lake & River Fishing
Fishing license obligatory, in lake or river (day, week, month or year license). To buy this license : St Jean d'Aulps "Maison de la Presse", center of the village (tel : 0033 (0)450 796 267). Many fishing places in St Jean d'Aulps or in villages around : "Dranse de Morzine", Barring of "Le Jotty", mountain lakes (Montriond, Tavaneuse, Mines d'Or, Chésery)"
Les Gets Golf Course Site
The Haute Savoie is a great place to play golf. There is a superb 18 hole course in Les Gets, a 9 hole course in Avoriaz and great courses within an hours drive at Chamonix, Annecy Flaine & Evian.
