The Old Decca Station is now a family home with comfortable holiday accommodation in its keepers cottage. It stands alone on the Machair and lies between a beautiful white Hebridean surfing beach and an RSPB bird reserve and loch. The cottage sleeps 6 and is within easy reach of a social club, tea room, walkers bar, swimming pool, award winning play park, sports centre with 10 pin bowling alley, shop and petrol station, and fish and chip van - all set within a peaceful community. Dolphin, whale, rare bird and otter watching are a must.

The cottage has oil fired central heating and an open fire in the sitting room. The garden is walled making it ideal for children and dogs. There is a drying room and storage for bikes and surf boards etc. We welcome families or singles groups, children and pets, fishermen and walkers etc. We are able to offer babysitting, service washes, special meals and budget family meals brought to your door by a highly qualified chef, personalised grocery shop provided on arrival. We are available at any time for local advice. The cottage is suitable for the infirm as one bedroom and the bathroom are downstairs.
The area is famous for its stunning beaches and wildlife, stone circles and sites of archeological interest including an ongoing dig each summer for which you can volunteer and experience first hand.

Bedrooms:
1 Double Bedroom, 2 Twin Bedrooms. The twin rooms are upstairs and have beautiful views over the machair to the dunes and the sea. The double room is downstairs and has views across the machair to the loch and RSPB reserve and hide.

1 Bathroom. There is an over bath shower and a radiator.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Iron. The kitchen is well equipped and has lovely views across the machair to the sea. High chairs are available.

Seating for 8. There is a table seating 4 in the kitchen and a drop leaf table in the sitting room that can seat 6.

Local activities in and around Ness, Highlands & Islands
Within easy walking distance there is a new sports centre(due to open at the end of 2006) which hosts a gym, sports hall and 10 pin bowling alley, and a swimming pool. There is cosy tea room with an open fire, and a social club bar with a pool table which holds regular ceilidhs. The award winning play park is built amongst the dunes and is great for all ages. A gaelic music centre organises music festivals and concerts. Stornoway is host to an amazing Hebridean Celtic Folk festival in July.
The area is famous for its clean sandy beaches and coastal walks and for the Butt of Lewis light house at the northern most tip of the Outer Hebrides. Europie beach behind the property is well known for its all year surfing. There are many sites of archaeological interest and fantastic rare bird and wildlife watching.
On entering Ness proceed through ribbon of villages to Lionel. At sign for Loch Stiapabhat RSPB reserve turn left. Pass police station. The Decca stands alone on left before reaching Europie.
