The Cape peninsular National Park and the Cape of Good Hope, Simons Town and the Bolder Rock Penguin colony is 1 – 1 1/2 hours drive away around the beautiful False Bay. Nearby Franshoek has been billed as the food and wine capital of South Africa, and is a short distance away. The area produces some of South Africa’s finest wines and has several award winning restaurants nearby.
Local wine estates combine both a tasting and gastronomic delight.
Table Mountain and the famous Waterfront area of Cape Town are some 60 kilometres along the N2, via the Somerset West shopping arcades or through the wine estates of Paarl and Stellenbosch.
