This is your perfect holiday rental cottage, centrally located in Sarlat in the Dordogne, yet tranquil & spacious enough for all your needs. A beautiful, stone holiday cottage with 3 ensuite bedrooms, located in the stunning Medieval town of Sarlat, a town of exceptional beauty with it's narrow winding streets, stone roofs & Benedictine Abbey. Be mesmerised by over 1000 years of art & architecture at every turn.
From this Sarlat holiday rental cottage, with it's superb south facing terrace & heated pool surrounded by a tranquil garden, you will be able to stroll to the shops & gourmet restaurants; visit the street markets or indulge in the Cafe Culture & watch the world pass by. Sarlat offers free attractions, including acrobats, musicians, clowns, art exhibitions & fireworks. Nearby visit the Dordogne Valley, Rocamodour, Lascaux Caves, Domme & Cave Paintings. There really is something for everyone right here in Sarlat on your door step!
There is a full size kitchen for those who wish to profit from the abundance of local grown produce, including cepes, truffles, walnuts and foie gras, which is all available at the daily local markets. The kitchen is fitted with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven & hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine etc.
The living/dining room is spacious with internal stone walls, exposed beams and a log burner for those romantic evenings in front of the fire. We have installed British satelite television for your comfort.
The goundfloor double bedroom has an ensuite shower room & it's own front door to the gardens and terrace. This room might be suitable for wheelchair access.
The goundfloor twin bedroom has an ensuite shower room and garden views.
FIRST FLOOR:
The Master Bedroom with beautiful views overlooking the pool and garden. This room has a 160cm. Queen bed and an ensuite shower room.
For your arrival all the beds will be made up with crisp white cotton bed linen and the bathrooms will have one bath and one hand towel per person provided. During the appropriate months we also provide pool towels.
There are electric radiators in each of the rooms in addition to the log burner in the living room.
GARDEN AND POOL:
The mature garden, which is complete with palm trees, surrounds the pool and south facing sun terrace. Where you will find ample sun loungers, a large parasol and a refreshing poolside solar shower. The pool itself measures 9 by 5 metres with a deep and shallow end. There is a pool alarm which can be activated by the turn of a key. There is also a BBQ for your enjoyment overlooking the pool area.
The garden is completely secure, with a surrounding hedge and fence. There are many mature trees and shrubs in the garden for added interest and privacy.
There is ample off road parking to the front of the property with a lockable entrance gate for your peace of mind.

Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided. A supply of logs is included for you to enjoy an open fire during the winter months. We have prepared a helpful guide to Sarlat and the surrounding area with recommendations you your use.

Seating for 7. In addition to the inside dining area, there is a beautiful outside rose covered eating area, which over looks the pool and gardens. A BBQ is also provided for fun al fresco dining.
Entertainment:
Satellite TV, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. British Satelite TV, a selection of DVD's & also board games for your enjoyment. Or stroll to the Shops, Bars & Bistros in Sarlat. Food markets, street entertainment, musicians, art & architecture...
Outside:
Private Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The pool has an alarm which when activated will sound if anyone falls into the water. For those with children, the garden is securly fenced & the entry gate is lockable for your peace of mind.

Collections and drop-offs can be arranged from any of the surrounding airports or train stations. For dog lovers, the property has a surrounding 'dog proof' wall and fence & a lockable gate.
Local activities in and around Sarlat-la-Caneda, Aquitaine/Dordogne
Lazily drifting down the Dordogne river in a canoe, passing Chateaux, Medieval Bastide towns & villages, such as Domme & Caslenaud, is not to be missed. Take your own picnic & stop at one of the beaches along the river for a wonderful al fresco lunch. Or why not stop at a gourmet riverside restaurant?
For those of you feeling a bit more energetic, tour the leafy lanes & valleys of the Dordogne with a bike tour. Why not visit the vineyards of Bergerac or St.Emilion, Rocamodour, or some of the 1001 fortified castles & Chateaux which are all within a short drive of Sarlat. Micro-light flights & Hot Air Balloon trips can also be booked for the more adventurous amongst you. Experience a magical sunset trip with a glass of champagne right over the tops of the Chateaux in a balloon!!!
There is a 'Tree Adventure Park' near by, which is a great place to go with a group of kids & adults alike.
Of course, there are also the local caves, such as those at Lascaux with their World Famous Prehistoric Cave Paintings for you to see. Or the World Heritage Classified Vezere Valley with its many Stone Age relics & caves dating from 20,000 years ago.
During the summer there are also numerous Night Markets and Gourmet Feast Days where it is possible to try the food from the region, watch it being cooked before you & then sit and enjoy with a glass of local wine in the open air dining areas, & if your lucky a band will be playing too!!!!
During the autumn & winter months you can visit the truffle markets & search for the famous Cepe mushrooms which grow in abundance in this fertile region. In the village markets, the fruit & vegetables, nuts, & mushrooms of every description bear witness to the region's self-sufficiency in food.
For those of you who are after a special treat or just want to be pampered there are many excellent restaurants in the vicinity. Several with Michelin stars!!

Rental Notes: 1. 30% total rental deposit will be payable to confirm the booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. 2.
