  Snowdon Cottage is a beautiful stone built cottage formally belonging to a quarryman from the Dinorwic Slate Quarry. The house is in a quiet location yet is only a 2 minute walk from the center of Llanberis, recognised as the Gateway to Snowdonia. The house can sleep 6 people & has full central heating and also benefits from a wood burning open fire. The is a garden area to the front of the house & a large area to the rear with off road parking for up to three cars. The front of the house enjoys great views up to the mountains & over to the slate quarries.

  Snowdon Cottage has three bedrooms, all with double beds. The two upstairs bedrooms are decorated in a cottage style and have uninterupted views up to the Snowdonia Mountains which catch the late evening sun during the summer. The smaller downstairs bedroom has fine views towards the mountains. There is a newly fitted bathroom, with full sized bath, on the first floor.

There is a large sitting room/dining room downstairs with TV, comfortable leather sofas and a lovely open fire for those cold winter evenings. At the back of the house you have a country kitchen which includes fridge, washing machine and cooker as well as the combi boiler which supplies all the hot water and central heating. All pots, pans and utensils are available to allow you to cook if you can resist the lure of the many nearby restraunts.

To the front of the house there is a patio area and a garden area where you can sit and enjoy the view. To the back of the house there is a large gravel area which allows off road parking for 3 cars.

All that you need for a great holiday is within walking distance; restraunts, shops, pubs, take aways, Lake Pararn, Snowdon Mountain Railway, Electric Mountain, The National Slate Museum, scuba diving & climbing in Vivian quarry, forest walks, canoeing, fishing etc... All within a 15 minute walk from the house. Relax & enjoy a BBQ on the terrace or explore all that North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park can offer.

Local activities in and around Llanberis, North Wales
 
         
The house is just 300m from the center of the tourist village of Llanberis, which is regarded as the Gateway to Snowdonia. The Snowdonia National Park starts in the village and has enormous range of outdoor activities to suit all needs. You can drive several circuits around the Park taking in Bedgellert or Betwys-y-Coed and enjoy the magnificent scenery or stop by the many lakes, streams and picturesque villages to enjoy a picnic.

For anyone wanting something more challanging the National Park can deliver excitement on all levels. There are hundreds of walks available in the Park all with unique views of the mountains. The Miner's Track, The Pyg Track and The Watkin Path are just some of the more famous paths to the summit of Snowdon, and one of them, The Llanberis Path, starts in the town of Llanberis itself.

There are numerous other walks on the Glyders and The Carnedi as well as low level walks through forests and country parks and around the many lakes in The Park. The whole of the Llanberis area is famous for the quality, accessibility and variety of climbing available. There are climbs to suit all abilities, from V. Diff up to E8 in the slate quarries and numerous indoor climbing walls if the weather is less than kind.

Other top attractions in Llanberis include The Snowdon Mountain Railway, The National Slate Museum, Electric Mountain and Padarn Country Park (with a kids play area, ducks to feed, boating and nature walks) all within a short walk of the house.

Families are well catered for with the Greenwood center, Welsh Mountain Zoo, the Butterfly palace, Caernarfon Fun center and many fairs and carnivals in the area during the summer. You can visit the the famous castles of Caernarfon, Conwy, Beaumaris, Penrhyn and Harlech or explore the many beaches and coves along the coast, including Newborough beach famous for it's birdlife.

You could take a day trip to Dublin, go down the slate mines or fly over Snowdon. Llanberis has it all.

Rental Notes:
Please note that weeks covering Bank Holidays and Half Terms will cost £525. Two night weekends start from £250 and three night weekends start from £310.

Our normal week runs from Friday to Friday but we will make ever effort to accommodate other dates when required outside peak season. Weekend and short breaks will be available at certain times of year. A deposit will be required to secure a booking. Bed linen and to0wels are provided.

For stays of longer than a week we will offer a discount on the price and we can arrange to have the house cleaned for you. The house will be available from 4pm on your arrival day and we would appreciate you leaving the house before 10am on your departure day to allow cleaning for the next guests.
