L'Oreade du Verger - A Beautiful Holiday Gite near the Dordogne

Close to the Dordogne, only thirty minutes from Bergerac airport (Stanstead, Southampton, Bristol, Exeter, Birmingham...), in the heart of the vineyard (Marmande, Duras, Bergerac) and of the "bastides" (fortified towns), Brigitt who is an artist, and her husband Jean-Jacques welcome you to stay in their ecological, modern and luxurious Gite. The Gite has been classified " 3 EPIS" by the "Gites de France".
Set in the tranquil countryside, there is a private driveway with ample parking. The gite is completely independant with it's own entrance and private fenced garden. The gite has been designed to make the minimum impact on the environment. Thanks to the high level of state of the art insulation materials used in it's construction, the gite remains cool in summer. Keeping the environment in mind, all hot waterr and the luxurious underfloor heating is provided by a very environmentally friendly geothermal heating system.
The lounge area is a triumph of open plan living incorporationg the fully fitted kitchen. It is equiped with a 3 seater sofa and two armchairs, TV, DVD player, Hifi with CD sound system and you can use unlimited internet by Wireless system. Dining area is equiped with a table (can be settled for 4 to 6) 4 chairs and 2 extra sits. The kitchen is fully fitted with oven (with children security), microwave, Fridge/freezer, electric hob, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board. the oven is equiped for children security.
Beside is an outside drying area and there is a tumble dryer if required. The entrace opens onto a hall with access to a Shower room (shower thermostatic tap) basin, toilet and radiant towel dryer, and to the first bedroom furnished with a large wardrobe, a desk and a bed 160 X 200 (possibility to make twinbeds 80 X 200). The second bedroom located on the first floor is also furnished with a wardrobe and twinbeds 80 X 200(possibility to make a double bed (160 X 200).
In the lounge, a large patio doors opens onto a beautiful terrace (equiped with barbecue, table and garden furniture) with views across the private enclosed garden to the pool area and the open countryside beyond. The swiming pool (10 M x 5 M with alarm) with roman steps is equiped with loungers and parasol.
Unlimited Internet by Wireless can be provided for free. Baby cot, chair and bath at disposal. Maid service can be provided.

Set in the tranquil countryside just 2 kms from all the services you require, banks, post office, doctors, butchers, bakers, bar, supermarket... you'll have the opportunity to enjoy "la douceur de vivre" of the region, to visit sites, to practice your favorite sport or activity or simply relax and unwind by the pool whilst enjoying the delicious foods and wines of the locality which you have previouly purchased at he myriad of local markets in this gastronomically renowned region of France.
The region has an abundance of interesting places to visit amongst the most famous in France: Grottes de Lascaux, Sarlat, Monpazier, Monflanquin, Bergerac, Duras... Besides the "bastides" and beautiful sceneries, there are colourful local markets every day of the week somewhere around. In Miramont de Guyenne it's on Monday and in Eymet it's on Thursday all over the year. Being as well an opportunity to provide oneself in various supplies as to palaver for hours, it's still the main event of the week for the local community.
The area also provides tennis, cycling, horse riding, golf (9 and 18 holes) canoeing, pedalos, flight in ballon, air sports...
