Set in the midst of beautiful French countryside, Ecurie Ecosse is a charming and comfortable cottage with heated pool, sunny patio, barbecue and private gardens. Situated in the Bouriane, a pretty area of trees, hills and rolling farmland lying midway between the valleys of the Lot and Dordogne. Weekly markets, cafes, bars and restaurants can be found in nearby market towns. Country setting but convenient for A20 autoroute and RN20 giving easy access to the surrounding area including the medieval market town of Gourdon and historic Cahors set within a loop on the river Lot
Domme, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Padirac and the river Dordogne are a short drive north, and equidistant southwards is the unspoilt valley of the Lot with riverside hamlets and the beautiful village of St-Cirq-Lapopie set in the cliff face overlooking the river. Traditional festivals and fetes are held in nearby villages and the area is ideal for daytrips, walking, cycling, hiking, canoing, riding, tennis + golf.
Ecurie Ecosse is a 1 bedroom cottage which sleeps 2-3 Set in an acre of mature private gardens in the grounds of an 18th Century French country house, the cottage has its' own gazebo, barbecue and garden furniture. New heated salt water swimming pool (10m x 4.5m) with roman end, underwater lighting and patio with sun loungers.
Ground floor- living room with satellite TV, CD player and DVD player with films. Dining area, sofabed and corner kitchen. Washing machine, tumble dryer, refrigerator and freezer. Toilet with shower. First floor- attic bedroom.
Outside- the accomodation has private gardens with barbecue, gazebo and outside dining area with table and chairs. Heating and lighting included, towels and bedlinen supplied. Wireless internet connection available.

Activities:
Golf: There is a basic 9 hole golf course 6 miles away near Labastide Murat. A selection of 18 hole courses can be found within a 20-25 mile radius. Tennis: Courts are available at Labastide Murat and Le Vigan. Canoeing: Several locations are within easy reach on the rivers Lot and Dordogne.
Eating out:
Excellent traditional French cuisine at very reasonable prices can be enjoyed in many of the fine local restaurants. Local delicacies include cassoulet, magret de canard (duck), foie gras, local cheeses and the famed Cahors red wine.
Easy access by A20 autoroute(Paris-Toulouse)via Limoges and Brive. 15 minutes from A20 (exit56) Nearest village is Frayssinet on the RN20(D820) Direct summer flights from Scotland+other uk airports
